Abramul
Does anyone know how to replace the ugly enchantment glow that stuff has in-game? I don't have 3DSM, because I'm cheap. Can they be added/edited with anything else, or are they part of the NIF?
Dreighton
God I would love to know.... but, all user created items can have this glow too, so I bet it's a script, maybe we could try and find this script and modify it so the glow doesn't show up... Marxist ßastard
It's hardcoded. The only thing you can change about the effect is its color and intensity -- you may do this from within the "magic effects..." dialog. A script cannot possibly be applied to an object with an arbitrary ID. Likewise, I wouldn't think a single glow map can possibly be applied to an object with an arbitrary number of polygons. If either of you didn't take a while to consider that before posting, I would suggest that you both either get off my Internet or make me a birthday thread. Dreighton
Then just reduce the intensity as low as it gets... should at least improve on the look.
Peregrine
Or just download the No Glow plugin you can find pretty much anywhere. It does just what it says, removes the glow completely.
Abramul
I had figured it was something applied when the model was created. After all, user-made enchantments do have a (randomly?) assigned number, but must still refer to the same mesh. Another thing that would be nice would be a brighter glow when more casting points remain.
