ub3rman123
When I retexture an object (The stone walls on the Skingrad House interior), the retextured part of it shows up as that odd funhouse purple hue. The rest of the model is unaffected, unless I retexture the whole object (The Mehrunes Dagon Statue, for example), whereas it is simply the familiar giant exclamation mark. Anyone have some clue as to how trhis is happening and how to fix it?

Or not existant. use nifskope, if you havent already to validate texture paths. The exclamation mark is for a missing mesh. If you doing work with the CS open beaware that it does not update models in real time. Its funny, sometimes it will update textures simply by deleting and then undoing it. Other times you have to reload. I was working with a retext armor and could figure out why it was not working. Turns out it was and the cs just would not update it. ub3rman123
What do you mean by validating the texture paths? Viewed in Nifskope, all the meshes and textures appear fine. I'm only using vanilla textures (haven't bothered loading Photoshop yet), so the textures should be left in the same folders, by my reasoning. What would I have to do with the textures to get them to appear? Another problem might be in the way I'm playing Oblivion. I create the meshes and mod on one computer, then shift all of the things I made in the meshes folder and the .esp over to the computer. I didn't move any textures. Could this be the cause?-Sal

This sounds more of incorrect folder sequence. If you did not move the textures it is likely that is your problem. Move them over first and make sure your putting them in the right spot. ub3rman123
I just tested my mod and retextured objects on the computer I created the objects on, and all textures are working on it. I believe this corresponds to what you said earlier about how it doesn't update in Real Time. Soon as I get around to it, I'll try moving the meshes again, and see if they work on the other computer this time.-Sal
