mitulpee
Hello, this is probably a stupid question, but there seems to be a texture inconsistency with my Fallout 3. So far I have tried three different body mods. Type 3, V, and Babe. After installing them, they work 100% fine with my NPC's, but I have the same error with each body replacement on my own character in the screenshots below. Please help if you know anything about this! http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6403/screenshot0u.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3196/screenshot1mmb.jpg
phoneyLogic
Do you use AI-Invalidated? http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 (very recommended) and your file structure is correct? If so, bodyreplacer consists of two elements: A) a 3D model of the body ( *.nif ) -> placed in data\mashes\...B) the "skin" for the model (textures with ending *.dds) -> placed in data\textures\... You need both from the same type or they do not match e.g.: Type V Dimonized Female Body Variant and Complete Armor ReplacerA) TYPE3bodyV3 -> the Body-ModelB) TYPE3V1TEXTURES -> the Skinhttp://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4280
mitulpee
The AI-Invalidated made it work! Thank you so much!
aec113
I am having the same problem, I use AI-Invalidated and have installed all the correct meshes\textures but I am still getting this issue. Please help.
phoneyLogic
The texture is missing here while the mesh is right. So F3 uses the vanilla Texture for the modded body. That happens if 1. you don't have the right textures 2. they are not in the right place there they should be3. the Archiveinvalitation for the texture is missing at all Think it would be # 1 or 2 the textures are right in<Your Install Folder>/Fallout 3/Data/textures/characters/female/ <<< here should be the texture files like upperbodyfemale.dds and so onhttp://www.loaditup.de/files/370704.jpg
endsville
Ok, I'm behind in the times and have only started playing Fallout 3... (better late than never eh?). I was looking around and saw some of the mods for changing the models to other types. The first one only had general directions so I grabbed another and it had more which I followed but it still doesn't seem to work in game... Background: PC - 1.5 patchAll DLC installed (but not activated/turned on) - playing F3 only right nowInstalled the Type3 Texture Pack and Body ModAdded in files to Data\textures and Data\meshes foldersCreated ArchiveInactivation.txt file and put in paths to the files (also created ArchiveInactivation. file (no txt)Tried normal textures/characters/female/upperbodyfemale.ddsTried adding Data in there - Data/textures/characters/female/upperbodyfemale.ddsChanged Fallout_default.ini file to change bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 to =1Chaged bInvalidateOlderFiles in My Doc\games\etc as well to =1Tried the ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! programTried FOMM ArchiveInvalidation part Yet, when I start the game, I always get the same skins/models for all of the characters... Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious? or not so obvious?
phoneyLogic
Hey endsville, you did way too much :) Do not change the Fallout_default.iniThis is your insurance. The Launcher creates the new Fallout.ini based on the default ini.Otherwise it will be completely ignored from the game.If you want to change an ini, then only take the Fallout.ini in My Games ArchiveInvalidationDo not do the ArchiveInvalidation with more than one method. There are different methods but you should decide, which one you want to use: -> ArchiveInvalidation.txt or AI-Invalidated File Structure two data folders are one too muchYou downloded the Body Mod -> unpack -> find the folders Textures and Mesches-> now copy & paste them - as they are - into the Data Folder of the gameEverything more - messing with the File Structure - wont help And what is your OS? Vista? Where have you installed Fallout 3?What AI-Method do you want to use?
endsville
I'm using XP, installed into c:\games\fallout 3. As for what do I want to use? lol whatever is easiest... the file said to use the AI Invalidator txt file, but I started reading more and found the AII program, so.. I'll use whatever. (one mod said to edit the fallout_default.ini to which found the same value, so I changed both to be safe)... As for folders I guess I meant that I tried changing the folders in the AI txt file (not the actual folders). They are installed in: c:\games\fallout 3\Data\meshes\...andc:\games\fallout 3\Data\textures\... I don't have 2 data folders just the 1 that I put in the meshes and textures folders into. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try to add the \Data\meshes, etc into the AI.txt file in case I was just missing the obvious and *should* know to add it lol... All of the skins look the same however when I load the game (it doesn't seem to do anything at all)... I figured if I did too much i'd at least have something show... maybe I'm thinking this will change all female in the game and it wont? I've been going back to megaton where I know there are females to see if it changes any of them...
phoneyLogic
Also the AI-Textfile is relative to the Data folder. But since you use XP and Installed your Game to C:\Games it would be best if you use AI-Invalidated Program Version and forget the Textfile or Whatever and delete it.
