Guest deleted153426568
I love to play Skyrim, and have been playing it off and on for about 10 years now. Oddly enough I have never actually finished the game. I keep running around, killing elves, doing quests, killing more elves, exploring, killing even more elves, fighting... Okay I have to admit I'm a bit OCD. Whenever my player character gets killed, I have to start a new game with a new player character. I guess that's a hangover from my D&D days. If there is no cleric, or other party member to save you, you're just dead. I hate traveling with other characters because they seem to never do what I want them to do and they have a tendency to get in the way, and block door ways . If you have Barbas with you, do yourself a favor don't stand near any cliffs, Barbas has an odd habit of coming up to your character and gently nudging you off the cliff with his nose... OOOps sorry I'm blathering on. Anyway I decided to get back into SKYRIM but I am having a heck of a time with the game. After the last two Bethesda patches my once stable, and dependable load order no longer seems to work. I'm playing on an X-box one x. I only have about 56 mods or so, and I usually have 2 gigs of memory unused in a standard play through. After the latest Bethesda patches I now crash to desk top while attempting to sleep, barter, enchant, enter a different cell. I crash when I look at my inventory. Even the simple act of going through a mundane door makes me hold my breath because I crash about 30% to 40% percent of the time. I use to use the old load order template that Bethesda put out years ago, but that seems to have disappeared from the internet. I have tried to find another LO template, but there are so many, and there seems to be no consistency where to place mods. If you look at ten different LO templates, with identical mods you will get 10 different load orders. I love this game but if is now unplayable due to reasons? Before you ask I have completely disabled all my mods and deleted them. I deleted all my saves. I cleared out my storage space. I cleared out my local saved games. I cleared out my reserved space, I even did the thing where you clear persistent cache space on the Blu Ray, and completely un-installed SKYRIM. Loaded it back up, re-installed mods according to the old LO template and I'm still crashing. HELP !!!.
Pagafyr
I don't know about Xbox. I came around to play it the other day and discovered the same problem after I reinstalled it. In my case I found a folder in AppData that was dated back when I played last. It wasn't deleted when I did the rest. It had four files in it I deleted the whole bunch folder too. Now the GOTY Skyrim Game works on my PC in the Offline mode now.
