bielecki
whats with all the anime themed clothes, weapons and misc (and porno) mods? could someone make a mod for oblivion that involves a more medievil look, something thats a little bit more gritty and realistic, not something that looks like something for a manga prostitute. (im talking about the clothes for HGEC and stuff like that of course) i know alot of people like that sort of stuff, im not saying you should stop makeing it, but all i want is an oblivion that is more realistic, dark and gritty, like the medivil times were like. i think those beuty modes just ruin what the bethesda team wanted. any modder out there willing to stop spanking there monkey over some under dressed anime character in oblivion (lol just kidding), and realise that oblivions future will not be bright if its just going to turn into a anime game. but i deffinitly do think people should stop with the sex mods, like sexlivion. do we actully want oblivion to turn into an pornagraphic video game!? Guest
It's not like these mods are being forced into the game, but I have noticed that fewer mods have actually stayed true to the visuals of the Elder Scrolls series. I have to say, some of the mods out there with the "anime" look aren't bad at all, however, mods these days are rarely thought through in terms of lore and how the mods fit into the game. I can guarantee you that most modders out there for Oblivion don't have the slightest clue about Tamriel's history. I, personally, love what the Tamriel Rebuilt team is doing, but I see where you're coming from. Don't go bashing all of the mods though, it's not like they're turning Oblivion into something it's not, they're simply building onto it with their own vision in mind. So give 'em credit, they put a lot of work into those mods [mostly anyway]. I would like to see some more TES based mods though, meaning mods that stay within the boundaries of Tamriel's history. Eshenaleros
there are lots of mods that stay within the boundaries of lore, if you look for them long enough. The unique landscapes mods fit really well under lore while still adding quite a bit to oblivion, there's a couple of mods that add more dark brotherhood sanctuaries all over the place, improve the look of some things, make the arena better, and other things like that. plus, if you get total tamriel, you can add the entire continent to the world rather than just cyrodiil. That said, mods like Frostmourne and Lich Kings Armor, Romuska fantasy store, The Lost Spires, Apachii Godess/Heroes store, Tears of the Fiend, and DUNE are completely lore breaking because they take things that there would be no way of making them for the people of tamriel, or add historical pieces that have no place in tamriel's history, or even add entirely new worlds. However, these mods are no less fun to play than any other mod (indeed, some are far more fun to play) because they are well made. When people truly work on something for a long time and pour their heart into it, no matter if it fits in with everything else, it still comes up as an absolutely incredible piece of work. It's true, most mods have no consideration behind them regarding lore. That doesn't mean they aren't hella fun.
