devinpatterson
That sounds like a great idea! You could always just retexture the helmet to not include the writing on it! I have a texture that will remove the writing so when you get to that portion of the mod, I can send you that texture! Which I will give credit to the appropriate person for! devinpatterson is the one who provided that texture for me! For a mod I have been working on. Feel free to use it brother. But a "heads up", that will prevent problems later down the line. The asset/rights for a request stays with the author that created it, not the person that requested it. In this case it doesn't matter, I could care less. But say you were using the assets from another author (for example as a request you had made and had been fulfilled) and you used it in a mod you were making. If you did it without getting permission first your mod could be yanked....which is no bueno. Permissions and credits are probably one of the stickiest issues in modding, so it's a good idea to turn the phrase “It’s better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.” around and reverse it. Yeah man, I see what you are saying! I should've consulted you first before I sent it to him.
devinpatterson
Yeah man, I see what you are saying! I should've consulted you first before I sent it to him. Don't sweat it in this case brother, but keep it in mind for the future. You don't want your mod to screw the pooch just because you forgot to get permission for one little minor asset. Anyway best of luck on it.
