dezdimona
I like my lady-character to have dignity! o:< Honestly, how can you have self respect with your butt hiked up and displayed with heels and thongs? *shakes her head*But, yes, there are honestly very few female clothing mods out there that don't have heels or thongs. You might want to try TESource as well as Nexus. I saw a few black full-body stealth gear clothes, but they only partially fit into the game.your very wrong, hit the weapons and armor catagory on the main site! SpacemanSpIiff
The ratio between armor that looks protective and 'Armor' that fits into eye candy is staggering, I do agree with Swedish in a lot of what he said. Its not that the amount of armors that aren't necessarily eye candy are so few and far between, its that you need to look a little harder to find them, since we all know that a 'nudy' mod gets A LOT more views (and subsequent ratings) then something that doesn't over sexualize the female form. Victim of the demographic.
RGMage2
I think realism is probably the wrong word, and eyecandy might not be accurate either. There is very little in this game that I would think of as realistic, and one persons eyecandy is another persons eye sore, but I understand what the OP is saying. When I first discovered mods I download all the sexy stuff. I liked the way it looked and I enjoyed the novelty of it. But that novelty wore off very quickly. As a modder I can appreciate all the hard work that went into making the sexy clothing and armor mods, and some of it is really well done, and I mean really well done. But as a player I can't use it. It just doesn't give me what I want in my game. Don't get me wrong. I don't want full plate armor either. I dislike most of the vanilla stuff - not the design or the texture. they're ok - it's the fit of it, the bulkiness and the way it looks on my character. You try to make your character look unique, you try to give it a personality, then you put on the vanilla and it destroys everything you tried to do. So I draw the line twice. No lingerie and hi heals, and no armor or clothing that is too concealing. I want clothing with a good fit, that actually looks like it has been worn. And I want Armor that is opened up a bit to show some areas of skin, mostly for tattooing and adding some personality to the character. The only way to get what you want is to do it yourself, so that is what I do. That is what being a modder is all about IMO, taking the game and making it what you want it to be. It's not about number of views and downloads and playing to the crowd, it's about getting it the way you want it. Having your cake and eating it too. Just my opinion. RGM
SpacemanSpIiff
No doubt that I appreciate the work that goes into any well made armor mod, be it in the eye candy class or not. Alot of people really dont appreciate the amount of work it goes into making anything of quality.
BossDweebe
With all the time you have in game, and all the armour you have collected youare ripe for changing clothes and armour on a lot of NPC's with CS.I have mixed and matched clothes and armor one about 100 NPC's.It's the best way to get variety in the game. You can use the sexy stuff on bar maids, Merchants, etc. and leave the "real" armour on the bad guys. Let you imagination run riot...It take time though, and you have to run around checking the change aftereach one, or four, to be sure you got it right. bben46
@swedishmeatballTessource became Tesnexus. And all of the original mods were transferred from the Tessource to Tesnexus. So , if you saw it on tessource, its should be here now. The 'less sexy' female armors are here, just buried in the files. They are a little harder to find mainly because the demographics of the site users and mod makers is slanted to young male gamers.

ElricDeMelnibone
Well, I personally don't include any of those eyecandy mods. Looking at half-naked digital women is just not what I'm looking for in my games. If I want to get some booty, I can nicely ask my significant other if she's up for some action ;) I'm an old Pen&Paper Rolemaster player, so I like a certain degree of 'realism' in my game. There is a very thick line between the mods that are too much eyecandy for me, and those that just look good, but practical at the same time. Armor can look good, or fancy, as long as it looks like it actually provides the protection it's stats tell us it gives. It's the same for weapons. I don't want a unbelievable tall anime-sword in my game - There is no way anyone could swing that thing, no matter how strong he is. Of course there are some fancy weapons out there even I want, even though they look a little out of proportion, but for the largest part, I stick to the realism. I'm just used to it, and like it the best. So for me, it's: Realism > Eyecandy
ChalkLine
My problem is that in RL (if you can call it that) I'm an armourer and a late medieval reenactor, so I tend to look at armour differently. There's a point where you think 'that would be less effective than that 'lesser' armour'. So, yeah, fighting with a sword and high-heels would be more than a touch difficult (read:impossible). Of course, this is just me, and I fully understand I'm in the minority and a world that has demons and undead can have people fight in high heels. I'm sure that if you asked some modellers would create flat-heel versions out of interest, but it may be that the visual appeal of high heels is part of the whole reason for modelling for many people. I have other problems with realism over fantasy. I'm a realism buff in that I prefer everyone to have either Leather, Iron or Steel armour, and that all the rest be reserved for special characters. I start to lose interest when every backwoods bandit has elven armour. Of course, you can get around this easily if you wanted to. Levelled armour already exists in-game, and having entry-level orcish armour and so on just requires a bit of editing in the CS, and the knowledge of how to create levelled lists. Then we can have a list comprising of; - Cheap Orcish Armour- Rusty Orcish Armour- Plain Orcish Armour- Etc etc Now you can have a boss level Marauder orc in orc armour at 1st level. Given time someone will adopt the idea and start making 'rusty' textures for all the armours (there's the cool 'rusty' texture pack, and Blood and Mud has an awesome suit of grungy steel). If you use an autoleveller you can have your much loved armour update with you. Finally, I just gotta say it;No one who's ever fought in chain maille can call it 'light armour'. I feel so much better :)
Eshenaleros
Generally, I don't grab unrealistic mods, with a few exeptions, like some of Kurese's and Hentai's mods (and even then, this is clothing, which can be made given the right materials, so it's not Truly unrealistic, just... fantasy). Things like unique landscapes, OOO, Hastutoli's Tieflings, and the like are beautiful in and of themselves because of how much work has been put into them, how much they add, and the delicate way they've been adjusted to work perfectly and look good doing it. so, for me at least;Awesome --> EyecandyRealism --> Eyecandy
