Wrye Bash Orange Checkbox/Black Font

Hi!

This is an issue which only seemed to arise with SPERG. I could really use some help - Wrye Bash is still a bit new to me, but I'm learnin'!

I've used BOSS and am now about to create my bashed patch with Wrye Bash. One issue; The SPERG.esp file has an orange checkbox, but with black font. When I mouse over it, it reads "Masters have been re-ordered. Active in load list." In the Masters box on the lower right, down the side of the screen, it seems to show that it's relying on the mods in the following order;

Skyrim.esm 00

SPERG.esm 02

Update.esm 01

Meanwhile, any of the patches included (for DLC, etc) have the master load list which makes sense (Update.esm loads before SPERG.esm).

I should also mention that this is a first time install, not an upgrade. I plan on starting a brand new game.

Thanks!

I am not sure what they mean but if you click on help in bash it takes to a web page that shows you all the colors and what they mean it is pretty far down the page if I remember right.

Text Formatting Meaning Navy Blue The package contains sub-packages. Grey BAIN does not recognise the structure of this package so cannot install it. Orange Background The install is dirty. This will occur for packages for which the configuration has been altered (either by altering active sub-packages and esmps, or by altering the package itself). This can be repaired by running Anneal or Anneal All. Yellow Background The package has "underrides" i.e. some of its installed files should be overridden by higher order packages. This may happen after reordering mods that have already been installed. It can be repaired by running Anneal or Anneal All. Grey Background Some files present in the package will not be installed. This can be due to having a complex structure only partially handled by BAIN, or having file types that BAIN skips. This can sometimes be fixed by telling BAIN that the package Has Extra Directories by ticking that option in the right-click menu.

What you posted is for the text colors, not the check box colors (there is a difference when it comes to Wrye Bash from what I have read) - and when it comes to the checkbox colors, I have found it online as to what it means; I just don't know what the next step is...

The simplest way to make this go away is to use the Reorder Masters feature of TES5Edit.

Somehow, the author of the sperg mod had sperg.esm loaded before update.esm when he / she saved the esp.

Then didn't fix it before releasing it.

I have tried just that... and it doesn't do anything. But I tried it on another mod that had a similar problem in Wrye Bash, and it worked on that. Not sure what's up with that.
