This is just too easy....

our goal is that you could play the entire game just using magic, and have that balance the same way combat or stealth does. To really be successful playing Morrowind, you had to use weapons, and we want to avoid that.

Does this sound like a more controlled and restricted magic system?

2.5 Playable races?

Expect a return of all the playable races from Morrowind.

From Dark0ne's FAQ. I can't find the source for that statement, but it fits the plan for an open-ended game.

Of course you meant it that way. That's why you talked about a more controlled magic system in the context of adding realism and moving away from the fantasy elements of Morrowind. Any reasonable person would interpret that to mean adding limits to the magic system to accomplish this goal.

Of course maybe you're right, and not just changing your story (again) once presented with evidence that makes your lying obvious. But somehow I doubt this. You've already lost all credibility with your little "oblivion demo" claim.

As for races, concession accepted, liar:

Q:In Morrowind beast races were restricted by their physical attributes from utilizing closed faced helms as well as boots, and were not given a boost in hand to hand attacks based on their claws. What, if any, special rewards are going to be awarded to beast races in Oblivion, to balance this lack?

A: Well, Oblivion handles those races differently in many respects, so I can't really talk yet about specific perks and such. Suffice to say, each race will have it's own perks, and they should all balance well.

Now then, would you please tell me why they are talking about balancing races and giving each different perks, if only one will be playable?

At this stage of development, are there any details you can give us on character creation and character classes and races set to feature?

Todd Howard: You can expect all the classic Elder Scrolls RACES and classes. Character creation itself - we're trying something new, but keeping in our style of you actually "playing" the character creation as opposed to getting a whole bunch of menus at the beginning.

I suppose now you know more than Oblivion's executive producer?

There won't be an outrage, because Luthiel_Dragonsoul just likes lying and bragging to get attention. It has been clearly stated that Morrowind's races will return. Now who do we trust more:

Official developer interviews with the people actually making the game

or

A proven liar, who claims that not only does a demo already exist for Oblivion, but that he has played and beaten it. And who admits that he made the whole thing up to get attention for his request for a house mod. And whose insane claims directly contradict the information from official sources.

I say we trust the official source, but maybe I'm just crazy.

Eh... I don't really understand here... It sounds to me that you think it is some kind of a game? You lie to us and then you realise that we don't belive you, and then you try to save some of your honor by posting this?

Pathetic...
