Draco856 Posted April 21, 2009 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Okay, could someone do something similar to the Megaton Basement Mod (The one that you have to buy from Moira, it has a Nuka-Cola Quantumizer, Prototype Robot Vendor/Companion, Auto-sorter, Arms and Wax museums). Personally, I love this mod and am currently using it, but since I'm running so many mods together, my game is less then stable (frequent crashing when loading certain places, textures not showing up even though they've been installed correctly and invalidated if they are modified textures). So, Could someone make something like this (or just move it from the Megaton house into the wasteland away from any major settlements (Megaton, Rivet City, Citidel) and put some kind of exterior on it? I'll be asking the mod creator as well, but I'm just putting this here just incase someone can make it better (Like sorting modded items into their respective containers just by type of item, as well as adding a unique misc. container, etc.) I know it's alot to ask, but I'm sure it's doable. TGBlank Posted April 21, 2009 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Autosorters are problematic, neither the geck nor fose gave us the "tools" to check on something's inventory item by item (take the first item, take the second...). Instead, modders are forced to ask for specific items (count how many chinese assault rifles).As you can imagine, asking for each item out there is tedious, and prone to errors due to massive copy-pasting. Not only that, but autosorters can't check for custom weapons either. Thus, most modders are unwilling to meddle with them.Once fose advances a bit and we get inventory walking functions, this is going to be faar more friendly to do. And you'll see more sorters. Draco856 Posted April 22, 2009 Author Share Posted April 22, 2009 Okay, forget about the sorter thing then...Any idea on why the game would crash when loading areas like Megaton or Paradise Falls or the Citadel? I'm currently reinstalling all my mods (Over 140 of them) just to make sure I didn't miss any textures or meshes, but I'm fairly sure I didn't miss anything when I installed them the first time. Draco856 Posted April 22, 2009 Author Share Posted April 22, 2009 For Megaton, it crashed when I used the main gate, fast traveled, or just exiting into the main "outdoor" area. It would load if I haven't been playing for more then a few minutes, but after that it crashed. For Paradise Falls, it crashed whenever I tried to enter into the area with the slave pens, the one you can't fast travel from. The Citadel crash only happened once, so I don't know about that, but it was only when fast-traveling there after leaving Raven Rock. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
