Fallout Zombie RPG

Hey all, I'm looking for some people who are interested in working with me on a Story and Concept work for a Zombie based RPG using the Fallout Lore (deviating from the real thing of course)

 

The basic idea is as follows

 

 

 

On October 20rd, 2077. The US government tests out a new strain of the FEV, Not realizing that it is airborne and causes doesn't cause mutations but brain degradation and effectively turns anyone exposed into "zombies". After the entire team that was involved with the new strain was zombiefied the president ordered it be put into a cryogenics facility for later use.

 

October 23rd, 2077. The first of the bombs start falling as the Vaults fill up and seal there doors, about half way though the war a bomb hits the facility where the Zombie Strain of the FEV is being stored releasing it into the atmosphere

 

October 24-31, 2077. The war ends with no winners, mass destruction, Survivors envy the dead, Thoese who survived the bombs are now being infected with the FEV, a small % of the survivors are immune, They fight for their lives

 

End of 2077 - 2115. Non infected survivors group together in Fortified buildings, small fortified settlements are founded, Smaller ones risk their lives to search out food and supplies from the waste lands risking being attacked by the infected, The larger settlements manage to grow food in hydroponic gardens; even this produces mutated produce.

 

 

March 12th, 2115. You emerge from Vault 3 in southern California along with a science team put together by the Vaults overseer, upon leaving the first goal is to survey the land and try to establish communications with anyone who might be willing to trade or w/e. once you leave the vault you you would be overwhelmed by the light (just like in FO3) as you ajust to the light a zombie comes running at you(you will have to act fast) once you kill it you would get a cutscene or talkscreen with one of the other guys on your team saying something like "what in the world was that"

 

Then from there i have no idea lol, basicly you would go to different settlements trading and doing quests. im sure we could go and give it a story like your brother gets bit by one of the zombies and your goal is to find a cure or somthing.

TCs are prone to early dying. And thus experienced modders tend to avoid jumping to help at them.

Provide us with more than a story, say, part of the landscape or new interiors involved, or code, something. And you'll see more willingness.

Sounds really interesting. You could maybe just make it an addon area. You could get all this story into a large area, which could be accessed somewhere... Kindof like the Pitt or OA.

rather then making this a TC, I would change your story up a bit, rather then the infection being airborne, make it blood transfer like real zombies. The bomb broke open the rat cages that housed infected rats. Those rats bit the handlers who turned to zombies. The few zombies wandered their labs aimlessly until raiders came many years later, the zombies infected them and then the infections spread.

As you fight your way through the zombies, you are bitten, and know you will become one of them.

 

You learn all of this from a terminal in a small well lived in fallout shelter beneath the lab. Here one or two scientist lived for several years while they documented what they saw in the security system. They talk about a cure for the infection that they have created, and its now your goal to find it before you become infected.
