Nemcros
Based on this idea here :http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1153728-build-your-own-city/?hl=%2Btown Here is a quick summary so you don't have to look at it. It is said that based on his idea, this uses the Hearthfire Mod, however rather than one building, it will be up to ten around buildings. There will also be Merchant Stalls. He also adds something about Orphanges Afterward, you can invite NPCs into the homes. Although that suggestion looks completely like mine, I think there's a better way to make this, if I'm wrong or right : And so, we create another realm, the one who makes it, grants the name themselves. You will also probably not need to look for voice actors as some of the voices needed are already in the Vanilla version as well. But if you want, you may. To get to this realm, it is an outside dungeon in Skyrim, similar to the portal to Sovngarde, you will have to face this Dragon Priest. Just like in the Main Quest, kill it, place the staff on the portal thing, and finally, you got yourself a portal! Going through this portal is filled with nothing but trees a desecrated pathway, and a large radius for a place the size of Whiterun. When you walk through this path, the enemies you will face are wights, the undead, ghosts, ghouls, an unique NPC, and shadow spirits. If you go deeper into the forest, the forest will become more gloomier and likely have more nasty monsters as you go. Besides all of that-- When you head over to that one place, you will see an object/npc; A giant, white oak tree or some random old man with a rake. Heck it could even be a talking giant! Talk to object and it will give dialogue; you may get actors if you want to make this more effective. The one who makes the mod makes the story. You are then asked to do the following : 1. Build homes, buildings, stalls, boats, and a castle. You have a choice if the main area will be open-world or closed once the city is finished. 2. Get all of the Tramps, Hobos, poor folk, Veterans, beggars, Talos Believers, orphans, and travelers to live in this new realm, free from Skyrim. 3. Fade away the gloom of this realm and cultivate it by creating new towns, cities, based on the way you wish to name it. Also certain NPCs will also suggest a name allowing certain NPCs to treat it like they were in an actual city or town. 4. Defeat the Unique NPC/Unique Object which is causing all of these problems. The Unique NPC can be in the following, a mortal who calls himself a God, an Undead Necromancer which created Wights to turn those they kill into undead, or just some kind of relic which generates undead overtime. 5. Venture through ancient tombs and cities that once the Dwemer once ruled until evil spirits took over. 6. Create a small force of guards to join, this is where the Veterans come in. If any quest overlaps them, you can lie that they are dead. That's about it. ----------------------------------------------------Please note that the entire map is floating in air, you will notice this once you see floating islands in the sky, this means that there's plenty of places you can make. Like in the Black Brotherhood, re-done quests will be made, allowing you to find hobos to take to this untold realm. dwiss
I am not sure how to understand your post - is this a request to create such mod or an announcement of something you are about to create? Nemcros
I am not sure how to understand your post - is this a request to create such mod or an announcement of something you are about to create? Your 'summary' is pretty far from the other guys description - so i am simply confusedI'm sorry, I'm known for doing this. I'm also glad someone actually commented on one of my threads. But no, this is something I would love to see be made in Skyrim. You could actually ignore every piece of this post and just grab the pieces that actually mean something. The pieces I'm more worried about is this list below : 1. Hearthfire Required Mod (Unless you have another idea)2. This Link here : http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1153728-build-your-own-city/?hl=%2Btown3. To get there, a Sovngarde-like teleport.4. Create your own city based on decisions, workbench, and story-plot. Allows the user to choose Open/Closed World areas.5. Seriously though those Hobos, we need those beggars out of Skyrim, killing them is not enough to please me. Now the Beggars, Orphans, Talos Believers, Veterans, and Old people can live in this Realm peacefully. I'm sure someone can make something good with these four points. I will also add that I did add more to the original post, as for the original was more basic and didn't seem to worry about the loading process whenever you're in the open-world. To me, I feel like having opened World areas causes lag, that's just me, that's why I think a new realm should be made. ScottC12
I have used a mod called RTS (Real Time Settlers) for Skyrim. It allows you to build up to several buildings and hire followers virtually anywhere in Skyrim, but flat ground is best (due to oddities with vanilla navmesh). In addition, the RTS Pillars of Creation mod provides a new flat worldspace that is easy to build on. I would use this mod with caution in an ongoing game, since I experienced save file bloat that eventually made my game unplayable over time, even after I uninstalled RTS. I am not blaming RTS specifically for the save file bloat, since I run over 100 mods in my game. It does appear to use a lot of scripts, and I noticed a marked increase in save file size after using RTS for a while and creating a few villages. It was pretty entertaining to build my own villages and hire townpeople, though the building controls were a bit clunky. Just use it with caution, preferably with a new character, or without many other mods, or with a character where you do not care if the game becomes unplayable after a while due to freezing up or CTDs. I was on an older version of RTS over a year ago, and it looks like a new version of the mod came out in March, so maybe it is more stable now?
