t3hf4ll0ut
Hi, I'm fairly new to scripting, and I need some help... I can't seem to figure out how to make a message box pop up before my character is movable. BUT, I don't want the script spoon fed to me, I'd like to somewhat learn on what I am actually doing, not just copying and pasting. Maybe some annotations would be nice. TGBlank
before its moveable? what do you mean?
t3hf4ll0ut
Sorry for not explaining it thoroughly, that seems a bit weird. What I meant was, when I start a new game at a new location from changing the CG00 quest, I want a message box to pop up before I am able to control my character telling you the controls or whatever. TGBlank
You'd need to edit the CG00 quest then, and its scripts/quest stages or w/e its made.Since the boy/girl dialogue happens before any movement can be made, i'm fairly certain you could perhaps do yours in the same way. t3hf4ll0ut
I know how to edit the scripts and what not, what I need to know is what the actual script is, just not spoon fed to me.
TGBlank
In either case, you want to modify that particular script. Even if you just comment the whole thing and do a teleport elsewhere instead.disableplayercontrols disables... well, the player controls. After that, it's just Showmessage. also, abuse the wiki:http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Main_Page
