FlyingFox
I have downloaded the freeware version of GMax (a while ago when I wanted to MOD for Dungeon Siege... unsuccessfully, mind you :P ), but does anyone know whether this can serve as a substitute for the rather expensive 3ds Max? I don't even know if one can make .nif files with GMax, so this may be a moot point, but just wondering.
Peregrine
Not directly... the export plugin only works with 3dsmax. But you can make the model and have someone convert/export it for you. If you send me the model I can finish that in a few minuites.
FlyingFox
ok, thanks. I haven't made anything yet, as I still need to work out the basics of the program, but if I do, I'll know where to turn... :)
