HELP: Nexus Mod Banned My IP

I failed to download mod files for days and originally thought https://supporter-files.nexus-cdn.com/ was down. But after some investigation, I found out that https://supporter-files.nexus-cdn.com/ blocked my IP adress. What should I do to get unblock?

Hi Jasper,

 

If your IP was banned you wouldn't be able to access the website or the forums, so it's definitely not that.

 

Please start here for troubleshooting download problems: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/92-im-having-download-issues-what-can-i-do

 

It could be blocked by your ISP.

Sorry I should have said it clearer, Nexus Mod didn't block me but https://supporter-files.nexus-cdn.com/ did.

 

So I can view the forum but cannot access any files.

 

You can see in the attached photo that I cannot ping https://supporter-files.nexus-cdn.com/ but can ping Nexus Mod.

No, the message you saw is a timeout. This is a connection problem, not a ban. Please try the tests in the article I posted to see if we can work out the issue :)

This is looking more and more like an ISP fault, so you may want to contact your service provider for further assistance. As you can browse the website and forums, your IP is definitely not blocked on our end.

Is there any common reason an ISP would block a site download?

Not really, they may not have done it on purpose. Your request has to pass through lots of different PC hardware to make the roundtrip from to our server and back. It could also be the routes they use have some kind of fault.
