Body Replacer Textures Problem

RESOLVED

Hey People,

I've been having an issue with RAIAR and Madcat221's HG EyeCandy Body. It's a fairly small issue, but one that annoys, so I was hoping someone could help.

As most of you would know these kinds of mods use the foot texture to cover the entire body. Well the textures cover the rest of the body perfectly, but the texture used on the actual feet ends up a stretched full body texture. Even if I delete all the other textures except footfemale.dds/footfemale_n.dds, somehow the texture appears three times - once on the whole body as it should, and once again on each of the feet, making them look rather messed up.

It doesn't seem to matter which textures I use either, though right now I'm using the textures included in F-IN evOblivion skinset for EC/HGEC body by Navetsea.

hmmm.I use madcats and never experienced that problem.Did you try removing the body mods completely then go in game, make a clean save then start with the Hgec and then add madcats and check it? see if that works before adding that third body mod.

I've never had this problem before either and god knows I've done this a million times - I just reinstalled Oblivion on a fresh Vista 64 Install and this is the first time I've encountered it.

I tried deactivating the body mods and completely cleaning out my textures folder, then I just reactivated and placed only the imperial textures in their right place and made an imperial character. Still getting the same problem.

I'll try messing with Nifskope some I guess.

Edit - Found the problem. Must have had a corrupt Exnem body omod so textures weren't being assigned to the right places for the HGEC body. Manual install fixed it up.

Have a kudos since I probably wouldn't have found it for a while if you didn't suggest uninstalling it all first - I'm stubborn, I like to think everything installed right the first time and I usually go about tinkering for hours with the already installed files.

I've had problems with OMOD/manual-install conflicts when installing body mods, too. I was wondering, is it normal for the facial textures (all the way until the neck) to not really match the body textures in color or could it be an issue related to this one?

I don't have an answer for you, but I was wondering the same thing. I'm running HGEC with the "F-IN evOblivion skinset for EC/HGEC body by Navetsea" texture, and the body is a different color than the face. Orcs especially stand out; the body is a completely different shade and tone of green than the face, with a sharp seam running around the neck. Of course, I've never seen an Orc in real life so maybe that's how they actually look.
