The GECK is right in ...\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3

It's one step above the data folder.

The *.esps should be saved in Data.

Alright, Geck is in the right folder, I'm getting the mods that have nothing to do with texture or picture to work, but none of the replacers are working, either MALOS or the Hotter older women. Also no weapons are changed after I added calibre. I checked the ini and everything is correcte. Is there anything else I'm supposed to do? I am having trouble opening file with GECK> Could I have installed GECK wrong?

yes i did uninstall geck and have a look where you installed fallout and then reinstall geck to the same place

that maybe it ......

Geck is installed correctly, but still getting vanilla setting. It was mentioned in the redme for malos to manualy copy AI.txt to the archive txt. Where is that and how do I go about it?

You are right, replacer need Archivinvalidation.

This could be done by a textfile called "ArchiveInvalidation.txt". You can simply create it yourself with the editor.

But it is more recommended to use a tool like AI-Invalidated.

It does the job for you. Always a good alternative,

Just unpack and doppleclick the .exe once.

You also could have a look here if you want: *awesome guide with coloured pictures* ;)

Does AI-Invalidated work?

I have Archive Invalidated installed already. Vanilla textures still there. I'm running windows 7 Ultimate, I have FO3 installed to another hard drive partition, I have Geck, fomm, and AI. I've used dimonised v3, Malos and some other replacers and texture aders, but I don't see any changes in textures. The non texturs mods are workig fine. Any other suggestions are welcome.

OK, then here is an example for an Archivinvalidation Textfile:

meshes/characters/_male/femaleupperbody.nif
textures/characters/female/handfemale.dds
textures/characters/female/handfemale_1st.dds
textures/characters/female/handfemale_1st_n.dds
textures/characters/female/handfemale_1st_sk.dds
textures/characters/female/handfemale_n.dds
textures/characters/female/handfemale_sk.dds
textures/characters/female/upperbodyfemale.dds
textures/characters/female/upperbodyfemale_n.dds
textures/characters/female/upperbodyfemale_sk.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/handfemale.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/handfemale_1st.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/handfemale_1st_n.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/handfemale_1st_sk.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/handfemale_n.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/handfemale_sk.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/upperbodyfemale.dds
textures/characters/raiderfemale/upperbodyfemale_n.dds

Open the Editor, paste the paths in and name the file ArchiveInvalidation

Finally copy it into ...\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\ X <-- here .

This one works only for Body replacer. I)f you want to add other things, just add the Paths like this.

I can't open the Archiveinvalidation BSA with FOMM or FO3Archive. It keeps telling that's AIInvald is not a BSA or its a different version. I've opened AIInvalid with notepad and added the text by pasting and that doesnt work. I've downloded hex editor to change the 5th bit to 68. I also don't know how to create A BSA. It won't allow me to paste text and it wants me to add files already made. I looked through the tutorials and I got nothing. Is my version of FO3 not accepting new BSA and archives? Everything else is working fine, except for the new textures. I'm also running everything as admin. I started a new game and I'm hanging around the body of the old women in the cafeteria of vault 101 to test the textures on the Nude Mods and hotter older women and still no changes.

No, please do not change the BSA-Archives.

For AI just open the Editor and paste the Paths above in. Then save it named as ArchiveInvalidation .

The result will be a Textfile. And this Textfile you just have to copy into you Fallout 3 folder.

That's it.

You don't need FOMM or AI-Invalidated with this Textfile, because you would do the Archivinvalidation twice.

Although they work different, it is almost the same method.

Just hoping to clear up some confusion. To manually do Archivinvalidation you need to make a text file with that name.

Jup, so try it with this method and I hope it works for you

Which Editor are you talking about? Sorry about being dense. Will notepad work placed inside the data folder? Or is the editor geck?
