bolcien
I just started up FO4 again after playing Skyrim for the 5000th time. Now I've been wondering if Fallout 4 can have the same kind of player homes that Skyrim has, one where they have dedicated displays for unique items. StormWolf01
Heyas Bolcien, welcome back to Fallout! :)Theoretically Yes, the homes can have dedicated weapons racks, IF the mod author adds them in.There are also mods that you can use, to add in displays (including racks) where you can choose to add in only specific items/weapons.However, I know that you've been gone for a while, so there's a distinction with housing, in FO4 that I don't know if it exists in Skyrim. Due to the Settlement System in FO4.Player Homes vs Player Settlements. Player Homes are pretty much static. There's some things that you can pick up and take, or interact with, but that's about it. They're built the way the author built it, and there's not much that you add/remove from it, as far as the building and decor is concerned. Most player homes do not include a Settlement Workshop. Which is needed in order to customize the building/area. Player Settlements offer a much wider variety of being able to be changed by the player, due having a Settlement Workshop. Which opens up the UI for being able to make alterations. Such as add/remove things to/from the area. In cases where the Home does not include displays where you could put specific items, you would need to have the workshop available to you, so that you could Add said display to the area, via the workshop build menu from a mod that has the items to build. If you are looking more for settlements that have been pre-built, but are still customizable, you may want to look into settlement blueprints. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22442 this system allows players to create buildings/areas, and then save them to a file. That file can then be used across different savegames, or shared with other players. However, when using player created blueprints, be wary of what the author included in the mod. some of these blueprints have such huge lists of required mods in them that it will totally eat up your load order. StormWolf01
There are several different mods that allow you to add differing types of displays to the settlement. There are some that use the standard big wallboard type displays, there are some that use horizontal type gun racks, and I remember seeing one somewhere that used a vertical (standing) gun rack. You can also download and use a wide variety of updated/improved armor racks (sorry, I always mis-spell manniquinn!) if you want to keep specific outfits as trophys. Or separated out and away for companions.
