MRBee30
I have a 40" Toshiba HDTV connected using a 1080p HDMI cable and Dell XPS720 With Nvidia Gforce-9800DX10. Playing PS3 games is great and all but I wan't to play Oblivion and Crysis through my TV. I could use a really long VGA cable and connect the two but I would like to use an HDMI input for higher resolution. I found this cable on Bestbuy and It looks like it would work. It transfers VGA (my pc input) to HDMI (my tv input) Would it work allright? I'm not willing to spend $60.00 unless I have a good start. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8701096&type=product&id=1199495204492 http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/5933/8701096sav.jpg Thanks- MRBee
Thor.
I have done that with my 42inch 1080P 120hertz Sharp Aquos, and boy does it look nice. A longer hdmi cable won't really degrade quality go for it, its the best thing i have done, i still can't get over the quality wow. Sorry if this sounds like im braging but its not, high def is the way to go for pc gaming, Fallout 3 looks fantastic  . One problem some tv's wont read the bios sreen so i suggest stick it in dual mode.
JimboUK
It should work just fine, don't go spending extra on cables with gold pins or other nonsense like that though, a cheap one will work just as well.
