genovauk
Hi I thought I would share my progress on my 3d model of a Beretta 9000 using the tutorials from Itchi. I have only been modeling for literaly 2 weeks, From the basic 3d max modeling tutorials to this current tutorial I am working on. The progress has been really good for the amount of time I have been modeling and I took to it rather quickly which I am suprised about. My Beretta 9000 : After Modeling Base 01After Modeling Base 02After Touching Small Areas UpAfter MagazineAfter BarrelAfter Little ThingysAfter Optimisation and Smooth Groups Final Show Off Image As you can see from the images my progress has been rather fast but also looks very well done for a newbie modeler. This post is for all the people that request a model to be made hoping that an experienced modeler will do it for them when in fact if they take the time and effort they can quite easily do it themselves if they just look around the net and do the basic tutorials for the 3d modeling program they wish to use. Below are all the links I have used to create this model and any other related links to tutorials that may be relavent in getting the finished textured model into fallout 3. Thanks for reading and hope this helps newbie and experienced modelers alike.
genovauk
Is anyone even intersted in this topic of modding fallout because if it's not I won't post my progress. this should be a good topic for people to learn but if you guys don't want to know then i'll just be one of them modders that are unknown but do good mods and I think if more people took a bit of interst there would be more quality mods etc... zealotlee
I think you did pretty well on the model. Even if people don't respond it's still good to continue with your tutorials. For weapon texturing, I HIGHLY suggest checking out this series of tutorials. The modeling and rigging aspects are made for CS:Source but I learned a lot about texturing from this.http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/7326 Good luck with your future projects! Deleted1084753User
Nice to see those tuts still getting some use. I used them many years back when I was still box modelling everything. Quite the eye-opener, learning about edit poly mode :) I've barely touched edit mesh mode since in some 5 years of modelling between then and now. genovauk
I'm not giving up on the tutorials, far from it Iv'e started a new model not using the tutorial to see if I can remember and that second post I made. I'm glad I did or I wouldn't have found that cs tutorial which will help with texturing. Thanks zealotlee
