2pac4eva7
i thought i at least somewhat knew what i was doing since i got my other ring into the game, so itried making a better one that was slightly larger. it looks great in blender, but when i get it into nifskope or the game i can only see small chunks of the mesh. im thinking this is probably a very simple problem, like i just forgot to do something. but i have remade it twice now and i keep getting the same result. i made it the same way i did the first one, but the first one worked. i guess im too noob to figure it out myself. so, some advice from someone more experienced would be appreciated. here is what it looks like in blender http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e76/2pac4eva7/looksfine.jpg it looks fine there. but now here is nifscope http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e76/2pac4eva7/NOWITDOESNT.jpg help please O.o
Unavi
Maybe you have overlaping faces. Use the remove doubles option in Blebder. But i acctualy think it's even simpler. The faces are facing in different ways. You can flip them one by one, or click ctrl-n to recalculate the facing of the normals.
exanimis
In blender, go into edit mode, hit A to select all vertices (highlight them with yellow) click on mesh, chose normals form the dropdown menu, click Recalculate normals outside. Before you export anything to a nif file you should get into the habit of checking the mesh in texture mode.(the button next to the objects panel) In textured mode you can see the faces that are facing the wrong way. Like Unavi said, check often to see if there are any doubles. I don't know why it happens but my meshes often get doubled without any obvious reason.
