Is there is a mod that lets your companions ride horses please?

 

Also, is there any way to use an old player character as a companion?

Hi,

I don't have an answer to your first question but I know how much it sucks when you ask for help and nobody even tries so I thought I'd write to you and suggest a Dogpile or Google search. Sometimes when I can't find something through the search engine here, I'll do it with my Dogpile search engine and if it exists, it'll be there. Hope this helps.

Oh, and with the companion share, you can just ask someone to join you. You do know that, right? Click on Friend and then ask them to join you. So, go up to an old guy or gal and ask them and you should have an older companion if they like you enough.

Several companions come with horses - Rihanna and Neeshka come to mind. Also some of the knights of the White Stallion.

Thanks dude, I'll cheak them out, Though I was hoping for a mod that would allow any companions to ride my horses.

I've got 'companion share recruit' which allows you to assign horses as "Recognised by party", but I can't figure out how to get the companions in said party to actually mount.

I think Pineapple was saying that not getting help when you ask for it sucks, not that your request for help sucks. :thumbsup:

I think the OP meant 'old' as in is there a way to use a previous player character as a current companion. There might be a way, but since I've never tried to do it I'll leave answering that to others who probably know more than I do.

Ramy's enfant also comes with a horse. (My favorite companion no less)

 

I think any companion who comes with a horse will automatically get on it when the player does.

I'm using 'Neeshka' companion, shes a good model with a black horse, no saddle but it works.

 

Still can't figure out what the deal is with 'companion share recruit'. It highlights a horse and says "horse is recognised by party" but the party just stands there looking at me (on 1 of my horses)?!? :wallbash:

 

As for using old PCs as companions, what I should have asked is, where do you extract the data for PCs from, and how do you make them into NON-PCs?

 

Hope that blew hard enough for you's, cos I dont know anything about making or customising the data that the game uses, so I appreciate all help and advice. I got me OBMM and OBSE, and I know how to install mods that dont come with Omods, thats about as far as my modding skills extend as yet.

Got TESeditor too, but I a gammer and that kind of thing is a bit complex for me, besides I like using good mods that I havent made cos they make my games diverse and more fun.

I can see how one would gain a sence of satisfaction from playing a good mod that they have made, and I can think of countless mods that would be really good and I would be proud to have made them. But like I say I'm a gammer not a programmer, so if all you's fancy telling me the names of any mods that you like and a brief description if you can be bothered, so I know what to search for, I will be very greatful :thanks: . And if you ever get modders block I'll be happy to pitch you some lightbulbs.

 

It would be a nice touch if a companion could ride shotgun with you, and maybe use their bow as well. Yes/no?

I want to find the sword from the 'Mighty Umbra' mod, I think its called 'DarkSlayer', is it available without the umbra effects that screw you up? Or can anyone tell me how to customise the mod please?

Found the sword, its in 'slayers sword pack', nice model, I recommend it to anyone whos looking for weapons!
