  1. I just found this ad that was posted about 20 hours ago. 2. Anyone tried this one? It's modular. I love it. I only wish it had adoption support. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9880 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8537
  3. All I can say on this, and after reading some of the comments, is that I am glad I quit sharing mods quite some time ago. The drama never ends, on both sides of the debate. I have more important things to do than stress about this nonsense. I'm glad it's no longer my problem to care about.
  4. The site has been incredibly slow since this was implemented.
  5. In response to post #11632903. "Please allow users to opt out of this new feature. Thank you." I agree. I've been trying to download an update for a file I've already been successfully using, and the new popup is annoying, especially when I see it over and over again as I try to get past a "file not found" error on different servers.
  6. In response to post #10252176. #10252894, #10253016, #10253371, #10253416, #10253430, #10253473, #10253502, #10253525, #10253564, #10253731 are all replies on the same post. Note to self.. don't ever comment on another mod ever again.
  7. In response to post #9146844. #9147518, #9151489, #9152819, #9155363, #9158982, #9191306, #9232105, #9235624, #9235917 are all replies on the same post. -edit- @Agatana, my comment was directed at Ryker61. By his post, it seemed that he was waiting to begin modding until the latest version of NMM was out. I was just pointing out (to him) that it's not necessary to wait. I'm not sure why you are responding to me.
  8. In response to post #9146844. #9147518, #9151489, #9152819, #9155363 are all replies on the same post. You know, it is totally possible to use mods without using NMM at all.
  9. After you export the file and it's saved as a .npc file, all you have to do is open the Creation Kit and create a new mod. Use one of the preset NPCs (or create another) and import your .npc file. Save as a new plugin, activate, and enjoy reusing your character. I've lost count of the number of restarts I've done with mine. LOL
  10. Use this mod, and make sure the load order places it below all other vampire mods. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25382/?
  11. Flashblock will make it so you have to press a button before the videos will load. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/
  12. Did you install that file that stops precaching? It's probably crashing for females because it's trying to read all the hair files when you create a new character. There are not as many for males so it doesn't get so unstable. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33526
  13. This is an old, well documented problem with Oblivion mods that do anything to eyes. You have a mismatch on the eye mesh and texture, since some custom eye meshes are mapped differently than default. Search "Oblivion Googly Eyes" on here or google and you'll find all the info you need.
  14. I just bookmark the "latest files" page and that works for me, personally.
  15. Now that you mention it, you're right, however I have equippable claws in my game. I stripped them out of a Kaw's Claws mod that was uploaded to the Nexus a long time ago (I only wanted the black ones). It appears to not be the same mod I linked like I thought. Maybe it was removed. Sorry. A claws mod that still allows for the wearing of some gloves and gauntlets would be nice too in the case where the fingers poke through, or for wearing with bracers. The claws I have in my game replace the hands.
  16. Since I've suggested it, here's my list. I've tried to remove items that are not available or are frowned on by the Nexus. (If I've missed any I'd appreciate not getting an insta-ban from the moderators. It wasn't intentional to mention not-allowed mods.) Some are my own mods that you can get off my blog if you like (check the bottom of the "About Me" section of my profile). For the most part, unless they have quests or fancy actions attached, clothing, armor, and weapon mods won't cause any problems.
  17. I don't think there's anything against asking people for a list of mods they run together. Then all the OP has to do is track down the mods on his own.
  18. The alpha layer on the normal map needs to be black or nearly black. The lighter it is, the shinier it is. At least that's how it worked for Oblivion. I don't see why it would be different for Skyrim. As for how to generate the normal map in Gimp, here's a tutorial. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Normal_Map_Creation_in_The_GIMP
  19. You might like these. I read several of them years ago and thought they were pretty good. http://www.goodreads.com/series/40351-kay-scarpetta
  20. I think I understand what the problem is because I had a similar problem. There was an outfit that I downloaded that had a short dress and boots, and the legs were bare. The legs, naturally, used the skin texture. I wanted them to use a pants texture, so I created a leather texture and used Nifskope to assign this texture to the legs, but just like in Oblivion, this doesn't make any difference if you don't adjust some setting in the mesh in Nifskope. In Oblivion I'd be able to get the same thing to work by changing the name assigned on the pant leg area in "NiMaterialProperty" to something other than "skin", in addition to assigning it the new leather texture. The same technique doesn't seem to work for Skyrim models, or else it's in a different location and I haven't found it yet. This means you can assign it a new texture all you want, but it still shows the skin texture.
  21. I am vaguely insulted. I don't play soduku, tetris or "mind games." I guess I'll go back to playing Girly Games ™ like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and the Witcher. Dude, between 30%- 40% of gamers are female. We may just not choose to advertise it because of the nonsense we get for it. That said, make your mod/overhaul however you wish and good luck with it. I hope it's awesome enough that gamers regardless of their gender will want to play it.
  22. Probably this. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6684
