NCR Power Armor

I have been wondering about why the salvaged power armor the NCR wears is the t-45d model instead of the t-51b. The Brotherhood wears t-51b in the game and i believe they would have in their war with the NCR. So can anybody make a salvaged t-51b replacer for the NCR, instead of the normal t-45d?

So looking at the salvaged vs vanilla t-45d, there isn't much of a difference. The backpack is different, the NCR logo and some red bands on the arms. I believe can put that on a t-51b for you without any real problems.

OK here is the file.

 

new NCR texture and AC backpack. Just unrar the bsa and esp into your data directory and select the esp in your launcher of choice.

Thanks, i really like the armor. My only, i don't want to say complaint but, it doesn't look salvaged. Could we maybe replace the shoulders with the bear head from the Scorched Sierra Power Armor from Lonesome Road? Thanks again!

Sure, I don't think that would be hard. Maybe I can scuff up the armor a bit for you as well.

Just one more thing (sorry) but the NCR logo on the chest plate is facing the other way from the original. Is there any way you can fix that or is it like a glitch? Thanks!

This is just my thought and I don't really care if you decide to do this, but could it be possible to have most of the heavy troopers wear the vanilla armour while a few have the new armour. Since the T-45d is easier to obtain compared to the T-51b it would seem more realistic to find more troopers wearing the T-45d. Also the Scorched Sierra Power Armour is unique so having a bear head on every shoulder of every trooper would diminish the Scorched armour and make it seem average. Try adding some colour to the T-51b in a way that it looks rusty and maybe slightly dented, you could also have some missing a shoulder pad.

Thanks for the feedback, but this is just how i always imagined the heavy troopers. The power armor must be valued in the NCR as they went through all that trouble to have the wearer not have to have power armor training to wear it. Also i would assume the wearers of the armor would be NCR-Brotherhood war veterans so the armor would be decorated with bear heads as a sign of the service they have done for the NCR, or as a sign of rank. As Colonel Royez is the only one with a bear head I can only assume he fought in the war as well. I beleive the t-51b would be easier to aquire as that is probaly what the Brotherhood was wearing during the war.

Another difference between base and NCR T-45d armor is that the NCR's is missing some parts, as it really isnt traditionally powered. Missing parts include the pauldrons and kneecaps
