Pineapplerum
BSA. I don't know how to check folders for mistakes, anyway. And if something goes wrong in your game because of the mod-it's very easy to uninstall. No hunting around for files all over the place.

BossDweebe
If it's a huge complicated mod then maybe BSA. An example would be some of the UL Landscapes. Some of them have a lot of LOD files that would be quicker to remove. Mostly I prefer manual install. It may take a little learning at first, but it's not really at all complicated. This is especially true if people keep their zip for later reference (and reinstallation). erlidd
BSA has its advantages. Having said that I prefer to have folders makes it easier if you only want part of a mod.
Pineapplerum
Is it possible for modders to give both options or would that be a real pain for modders to do? I don't have a clue as to what's involved with uploading either kind of mod, would it be that difficult?
SavageArtistry
Is it possible for modders to give both options or would that be a real pain for modders to do? I don't have a clue as to what's involved with uploading either kind of mod, would it be that difficult? For some mods I think it's impossible or not practical. I've only created a . bsa once, but as far as I know the bsa file has to share the same name as the esp for it to work. In mods that have lots of esp options that may not work too well. Also if you're going to be updating your mod a lot it may be a pain to keep having to redo the bsa.
Pineapplerum
I can see how that would be a problem. I'm actually getting use to manually installing things in their folders. Now I just open up the zip on my desktop and I have my opened Oblivion/Data folder right next to it and it's a lot easier just transporting them over from the Zip screen to the Folder. Somehow my mind takes to that better than doing the drop down menu folder installation. Now I'm not minding the folders anymore. I think someone else had already written that it takes some time to get use to.I would recommend the method I've described above if anyone else is getting confused with the folders. PM me if you have any questions. I think (I'll try anyway) I can help.
