Halororor
While I am glad that girls have recently also started entering the gaming scene in such great numbers, I do feel that people are still abusing their status. A gamer is a gamer, whether they be a girl or not. I see too many people laughing because person X got beaten by a girl or somebody laughing at a girl because she couldn't beat a guy in a certain game. Not to even start mentioning the way people suck up to them on gaming forums all over the world. The moment somebody finds out a certain person is a girl they are inclined to agree with everything said person says. A gamer is a gamer, just like there are girls playing sports there are also girls playing games.
Mavrosh
A gamer is a gamer like a human is a human, no matter what gender. Well said. Still I like that there is more and more ladies coming to the gaming and modding scene for one simple reason: While most mods are aimed at male gamers with female characters (the ones for armor and clothing and most animation ones) the variety of mods for female gamers with male characters rises higher. There is still less, but they exist, which is just fair. Same goes for the image share here... in between all the eye candy for male gamers there is something nice to look at for the female gamers as well now. So, these are the reasons why I do care, all selfish reasons as I am female myself. But again, a gamer is a gamer and a modder is a modder.
