1. You are on PC so there are thousands of mods out there to make the game play longer. Some are very good. There is one that adds several levels of 'dungeon' to every ancestral tomb in the game, if that sort of thing floats your boat.

 

2. You can do the short version of the main quest, rewards without the hassle.

 

3. Has been discussed elsewhere, use the search button on this.

 

4. If you've been playing for any length of time you don't taunt anyone you don't need to for a quest.

 

5. You have to know how the character is recorded in the game. Normally it is "first name(space)second name" followed by the placement code. To check it out go into the construction set, data files and select NPC. Scroll down until you see how the name of the PC you want is recorded.

I cant seem to find good plugins. On MWsummit, there are so many plugins it takes so long to get the right one!

 

Blargh, i can't find my TES Construction Kit

 

I went inside a dungeon once and someone attacked me and i killed him and it said that i messed up the storyline.

 

I dont know what to search for (like what keyword)

There is a search box when you click on 'Mod Database' thatlets you specify what you are looking for. Morrowind Summit Mod Database

 

 

Blargh, i can't find my TES Construction Kit

 

If you cant find it, click 'Start' -> 'Run' and type in (or just copy) "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\TES Construction Set.exe". Or open explore and look for it yourself. Using the run option opens the program right away and its saved in your drop-down box, so it should be there for future use. If It cant find it, open explore and put your save file (C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Saves) in another folder (i.e. My Documents) then re-install Morrowind.

Not sure if it will work, but in game, bring your console down and type in 'TFH' (Toggle Full Help) and it might show who is partof the main quest or who is 'essential'.

What do you mean you dont know any short cuts? Short cuts for what? Microsoft Word? (Copy = Ctrl + C; Paste = Ctrl + V; Cut = Ctrl + X; Save = Ctrl + S; Open = Ctrl + O; you get the idea). You dont know Short cuts for TES Construction Set? (Duplicate = Ctrl + D; Save = Ctrl + S; Drop to flat surface = F; Move object up/down with cursor = Z + Cursor; there is another post on this I believe).

Now for my joys:

-Plundering caves/tombs/hideouts

-Stealing stuff and getting money and not getting caught

-Getting caught, dropping my stuff, paying the guard, picking the stuff up and take off to steal more.

 

Bad moments:

-Getting caught and not being able to drop your stuff and 4/5 of it is stolen.

-Not being strong enough to kill creatures in Bloodmoon and Tribunal, but creatures in Morrowind are way too easy.

-Killing someone needed for the any quest and instead ofhitting 'Quick Load' you hit 'Quick Save' and think "OH S**T!!!" and your last save was 4 levels ago.

-Jumping along through the Mages Guild halls and hitting the bug that drops you through the floor but instead of appearing at the door, it kills you and you just got out of a huge battle that almost killed you and you havent saved since it.

-Load a door to an interior and as soon as it loads, there is a Daedroth and he smacks you up a little then starts casting spells at you. And you are only level 3 with a steel sparks sword.

-Not having any quests left to do except for the main quest, which you dont feel like doing because you want to see if the Sleeper population goes up any, and you have nothing left to do inthe game.

-When you run out of magika when you most despertly need that health spell and you have no potions or scrolls.

-When you use Divine Intervention insead of Almsevi Intervention and you end up in Molag Mar instead of Ebonhart.

I don't think any main character that affects the game is found in a dungeon but maybe I'm forgetting one. You might have killed off Crazy Batou in an ancestral tomb. That tells you the game is screwed but in fact it's a bug. The character plays no part in the main quest. IIRC the only character you have to keep alive is Yagrum Bargum in Tel Fyr corprusarium. And you can kill him after Dagoth Ur if you must.

 

One wonders why you would.

 

If you kill Vivec, Crassius Curio, Mehra Milo etc. you get the same warning but again it does not prevent you from completing the main quest by the back route.

 

If by search you mean to search this forum try 'guards keep attacking' or variations thereon. Seach all forums and as far back as you can. There is also a mod on the Summit that supposedly solves this problem.
