wattoburger
So I was playing New Vegas yesterday and returned to Mr House to inform him that I had got the Boomers to agree to help me. The Boomers are unaware of who I am going to be working with obviously as you are unable to tell them...they just somehow know when the battle starts...looks like they have psychics too. Once I had informed Mr House that I had got the Boomers to help ME (not necessarily him), the NCR and the Legion stole that knowledge from my mind and this caused my relationship with them to deteriorate and the quests for those factions (those that were to acquire the assistance of the Boomers) failed. This is completely unrealistic and annoying as at this point I have not decided whether I want to work with NCR or House.I am hoping someone is willing to make a mod that fixes this nonsense. If one already exists, please can you point me towards it as I have been unable to find it.Mod requirements:When I inform any faction that I have acquired the help of the Boomers, this should have no effect on any of the other factions other than the one I have told (i.e. I tell one faction and they like me more but the others are totally unaffected and I can still complete those quests)Thank you in advance to anyone who takes up this task. Devilman1975
I think you're forgetting that there are NCR military police and Legion spies on the strip. The player character becomes the talk of the town as he/she is the first person allowed into the Lucky 38 in over 200 years. After the securitrons have been upgraded and the player character seen entering and leaving the Lucky 38 multiple times it wouldn't be much of a stretch for the NCR and Legion to assume that the player is working for House. However when the player starts working with Yes Man it should be impossible for the Legion or NCR to find out. Seeing a single securitron enter the Lucky 38 shouldn't be something considered out of the ordinary on the strip.
wattoburger
I think you're forgetting that there are NCR military police and Legion spies on the strip. Seeing a single securitron enter the Lucky 38 shouldn't be something considered out of the ordinary on the strip. Sure...that theory would work if the NCR and Legion reputation deteriorated on account of you entering and exiting the Lucky 38 alone but this is simply not the case. The issue is this, I can't tell the NCR that I have acquired the help after having told Mr house the same thing and if I go to tell the NCR that I have the Boomers help (assuming I choose the middle option which is something like "Sure...the Boomers will help US"), I can then go and tell Mr House the same thing and then the fact that I have just informed the NCR I have the Boomers help becomes irrelevant rendering the option to do both pointless. The fact that you are a blt to inform the NCR and then Mr House but not Mr House but then not NCR suggests to me that the option was going to be available but when then cut before release for some reason. Plus, you can work for the NCR (so long as you don't actively attack any other factions) without your rep. with any other faction altering.
