Deleted910962User
I would use "tgm" command if it didn't disable those bullets-making-sparks-when-hitting-the-armor effects.. and yeah I know that another way is setting your health to 2000 or something like that but that's not what I want. I don't want my character making noises when he gets hit by bullets while in a power armor, also I don't like hearing bullet hitting flesh sounds when wearing a power armor. Also I dislike that health decreasing when wearing a power armor and getting hit by bullets. Makes the immersion of wearing a power armor go away. So I decided to start do something with it but I don't know what to do.. I allready tried increasing armors damage resistance to 600 but my health still decreased. Some workaround must be made that only armor's condition drops... and it must drop slow.. real slow and slower than slug when getting hit by handgun bullets.. so that means that killing a power armor wearer takes more than a bullet to kill.. and even with rockets or explosives it should take about 4-6 of them and two car nukes to kill for example. So where should I start? And if lucky are there anyone else who agrees with me about making power armors what they should be?
Deleted910962User
Err.. my bad, it was some AR thingy that I set to 600. Gonna see what "increase damage resistance" effect does.
TGBlank
you want to modify max damage resistance too. Else it caps at
Deleted910962User
Aye, it does stay at 85.. now where can I tamper with max damage resistance (thanks for mentioning of by the way)? Where to find it in G.E.C.K? Also.. how do I add a recon armor hood to a power armor? I have mod that gives those hoods to T-45d outcast and T-45d BoS armors but leaves that prototype medic armor without it.

Melee on the other hand, you COULD be invulnerable to melee damage in the old fallout games if you had power armor and built your character right. I support anti-melee power armor, but, anti bullet PA seems a bit over the top to me, unless you plan on making it so that any NPC wearing power armor has the same thing happen, and made it so that when the armor is broke, it's broke and useless till you fix it, basically no DR untill it has some life in it. You could even take it one step further and make it so that if the armor condition drops below 85% you start to take ever so slight amounts of damage, that increase as the condition decreases, until it is broken. Anyway, thats my two cents, good luck with whatever you decide to do. :)
Deleted910962User
I do plan npcs to have power armor as tough as what my character is wearing.. (Also a reason why I play the game on normal difficulty) so not to break the immersion of power armors. I still cannot find the place where I could change that max damage resistance. :wallbash:
