Deleted910962User
Okay.. so I found that "fMaxArmorRating" from gamplay>settings. Gonna see if it does the trick. 8)
Deleted910962User
AWESOME! It worked. I'm almost getting my basic idea working. Right now I gotta tinker with the stats to get the armor the way I meant it to be.
Deleted910962User
I got the armor the way I wanted but power armor wearing npcs are still easy to kill.. and that's because they're not wearing a fully repaired armor. :wallbash:
Aciel
I got the armor the way I wanted but power armor wearing npcs are still easy to kill.. and that's because they're not wearing a fully repaired armor. :wallbash: there are mods out there that alter the repair levels of the different faction's gear. also: good job on the project, this always bugged me too. TGBlank
I've always considered adding a damage prevention tresshold to power armor in addition to the DR... Might give it a chance.
Deleted910962User
Yep, that's exactly what those armors need.. then it would render pistols and other such stuff useless against power armor wearing npcs and player. Someone should make that damage threshold system, I would do it myself but I'm no scripter. That threshold system is indeed needed. It would make things much more realistic and prevent power armors from being some crappy knight armors from Oblivion. ;D
TGBlank
Fight with a few enclave troopers with fook on and i bet you'll disagree ^_^. The tresshold is a little tough to do tho. Specially on the player.

TGBlank
I mean that fook gives the darned enclave almost pristine armor... and buffs the armor to have really high DR.. Those guys are pretty darn tough. As for the tresshold, its hard because you can't, or rather, shouldn't, give a script to the player. You can of course, listen to the player's hp and heal an amount when there's damage, but separating, say, damage from flames or poison from damage from bullets is not an easy task. Since it involves checking every frame, it can get pretty darn cloggy when there's a ton of, say, enclaves around in the same cell.
