So, I had a suggestion in mind, could someone create a similar mod, but with some adjustments to fit the Mojave, maybe make the days hot and nights cold, and make you survive, maybe make you more thirsty while in hardcore mode if it's too hot?You get the point. Dudeman325 Posted November 1, 2013 Share Posted November 1, 2013 (edited) What you are looking for is a combination of Ambient Temperature, Nevada Skies, and Imps More Complex Needs (or Imps TimeScale Adjuster if you don't want the extras added by Complex Needs). When used together weather and temperature affect your hydration rate, and are based on average weather data for the Las Vegas area (adjusted a bit to compensate for Post-War climate differences, such as Rad Storms). Its not quite as in depth as Frostfall as you don't have a "warmth" meter to sustain, so you can't die due to simply being too hot / cold, but it does make water sources much more valuable during the day on hot summer months. I found imps to be not very user friendly and quit using it. A mod that adds the basics of frostfall though. A tent a bedroll a fire, along with backpacks and clothing to protect you from the elements. . For new vegas it could be even bettter then skyrim in this case. durring the day you would have to consume more water and find shade. Having the heat be your enemy, as long as you are in the sun it goes up and have it go up faster if you run. Hats,light clothing,capes and the like( I really like desert punk)and sticking to sections of shade could midigate this. at night it could work like frostfall you could die from exposure. you set up a tent and gather firewood or burn old books.
