My Download Problem. pls help.

first, sorry for my english.

i don't know why but my nexus download speed is dropping down to 300kbps, it's been almost 2 year since this happening to me and i think this is not ISP problem.

because at this point, i already change to 3 different ISP in my country, but the problem is still there. the first one is Indihome, then firstmedia, and lastly Biznet.

while i'm using Indihome 3 years ago i don't have any problem downloading from nexus, but then my download speed is gradually decreasing from 1MB to 600kbps and so i decide to try another ISP.

i do have my adblocks on but according to nexus FAQ it should not decrease my download speed isn't it? i do have tried to turn it off for around a week, but there is no difference.

after this whole time i decide to make this post because i found out that my download speed is reaching 3.4MB when i download a skyrim collection mod from nexus.

only the collection pack though, when i download the mod inside the pack the download speed going back to 300kbps.

sometimes there is one or two mods that have normal speed, it just not happening when i download the big mod (100mb+).

tbh i already determined to download that 20 gb mod pack with my 300kbps download speed no matter how long it takes.

but that just really sad, so please help me... and thank you in advance.

It looks like you have connection issues to all our free servers around the world. This is indicative of a problem at your ISP which I'm afraid we can't do much about. I would suggest reporting the fault to Biznet and see if they can offer any solutions.

can you elaborate what should i report? is it something like port forwarding? is there any specific command/keyword for it? or i just need to say that i have network problem with nexusmods free server?

You could try downloading mods using a VPN and a different connection (such as a mobile data plan) to see if that improves things.

 

When talking to your ISP, you can give them the test links you tried and tell them that you're not able to reach those websites. It's possible that there's something going on with how the traffic is routed from your PC to the server which is causing the failure.

i think this is probably the issue. so i have been trying to edit my PC network settings to bypass some bandwidth throttling and network restrictions without knowing anything, like setting up DNS, built-in vpn, and other things. basically i just edit some network settings with google tutorial without any proper knowledge. i don't even bother to consult those things with my ISP because if they block somethings that mean it's gonna be like that no matter what happens and most likely the action is taken based on my country network regulations.

 

and because actually my friend is using the same ISP as mine and he don't have any problem downloading mod from nexus, he got full speed 2MB download for every mod and sometime it drops to 1MB but never below that.

while i'm here capped at 300kbps.

 

note:

i found out that i have no issue downloading small mod (20MB and below), my download speed is reaching 3 to 4MB for those mods.

 

and silly me, the download test link is actually working for me but instead of just clicking the link i need to copy the link address first and then paste it on search bar.

for the free servers at first 3 seconds when the download start my download speed actually manage to reach 4MB but after that it's dropping to 200 to 300KB.
