Sites are mind numbingly slow

I tried to get on the Skyrim Nexus five minutes ago but it was down (and I used a website that told me it wasn't just me.) After reading through this whole topic I tried again and the home page loaded almost instantly. Then I click on the featured mods and I get a blank page that's loading. Just as I was typing that it concluded with a 504 gateway time-out. Has a new issue arisen?

Not just you mate, After getting the 504 message I assume the problem was my internet. But it turns out it's just Skyrim.Nexus being either slow or just down for people. Only thing you can/should do is wait for awhile for the the issue to be resolved.
