RognvaldTheWise
Ok so I came up with this idea and wanted to post it to see if any one would be willing to make it. The idea is to have a new vampiric power for vampires. This new power would use the Vile Vapor shout used by the Afflicted. Instead have the vapor texture changed from green to red and change it's effect as well. This is what I had in mind: Power - Blood DrenchDescription - "Gifted by Molag Bal, drench your enemies in blood"Effect - Causes 20 points damage to health and stamina, enemies flee for 60 seconds. The effect may be over powered so changes are welcomed. To acquire the power I think it should simply be automatically added when one becomes a vampire, and added when one is already a vampire. This was all a very quick Idea that I slapped together. So if anyone wants to add or change to the idea is free to do so. I mainly want the ability to spew blood as a vampire power. Doeetfgt
That could be interesting. Some sort of blood spit that takes from your own healthand/or stamina perhaps? Like a last resort scaring maneuver? Sounds awesome.
RognvaldTheWise
Good thinking! Maybe as one progresses through each stage the power gets stronger, the higher the stage the more of the players health will be drained.
Harkanthevampire
Good Idea but I thing it should more after it hits it drains the enemy of blood and carries it back to you counting as feeding
RognvaldTheWise
I first was thinking that but I didn't know if it would actually make sense. It could work though maybe like some sort of blood magic.
Doeetfgt
I think a health-draining Fear effect AOE spell would be feasible, since all of those things are already implemented in the game. Now it's all about finding a modder to do it...
Xander9009
I started making this, but it seems you can't have a concentration spell set to the voice slot. I can't seem to find a way to get it to continuously project something without it coming from the hands. I managed to make it work using it as a shout like the original spell. The downside to this is that it's listed in the shouts tab and is unusable if the timer isn't 0 (but the shout won't set the timer itself). Another downside is that it runs for the length of time of the longest animation and no longer. the spewing animation seems to be shorter than the projectile one. So it appears to have stopped spewing, but it still has splotches of green stuff appearing on things if you look at them, and if you hit someone, they still run away. Also, it takes the health away every time the spell hits someone. So, if it doesn't hit someone, it doesn't take any health. If it hits 5 actors, it takes 100 health instead of 20. I've lowered the amount it takes, but I don't know if I can get around that. Anyway, the worst downside so far is that I have zero skill in editing nifs. I can't change the color to red. But I can do everything else. I'll see about getting it added when the player becomes a vampire, but I don't know if a shout can be removed (so they might have it permanently even if they're cured). I can, however, check if the player is a vampire when it's used and have it not actually work if they aren't. But I don't know if it can be removed from the list of shouts. That will have to wait for tomorrow, though  Here's the file and script so far. Sorry about the script name and a couple others. I didn't realize you already had a name in mind, so I originally called it Spew Blood instead of Blood Drench so a few names still reflect that. Anyway, everything to do with this mod so far (which you can see in the details when you go to open it in the CK) starts with BloodDrench or SpewBlood (to make it easier to find them). If this won't work for you, let me know and I won't bother finishing it. I won't blame you  (But even if I continue it, someone else will still have to change the color)
RognvaldTheWise
Sounds like a pain. The name change is fine with me, it's basically the same. I'll take your word for it when you tell how it will look in the CK. I had it installed once but I don't have the time or patience to figure it all out. Plus it seemed like when ever I used the CK my game would always crash. So I don't bother with it anymore. I did some browsing around and found that some one else had made a mod giving the player the vile vapor shout as a blessing from Peryite. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8915/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D8915%26preview%3D&pUp=1 If it makes a difference, it would be just fine to use as a shout instead of a power. Maybe the author of that mod would be willing to help.
Xander9009
Don't really need, too. The only thing wrong with this is that it the animation for the spewing stops before the spell is done. The problem is that I was hoping to make the animation repeat while the spell was being used. But I can't do that. I can't only limit the spell duration so it stops when the animation is up. I already know how to do that (There's box on the spell that asks how long it'll play). But I was hoping to make it last longer, not shorter. That mod makes it shorter (the thing I can already do). But, that might be the only way to do it. As for the health, I have one way to fix it. Unfortunately, it's a bit... complex or what it's doing. I'm currently just trying to think of a way to do it more simply.
RognvaldTheWise
No offense, but do you think you are senselessly making it more complex than it needs to be? I figured that some one could just simply "clone" the shout, rename it, change the stats, and change all the green textures that apply to it to red. I could be wrong since I am not familiar with modding myself
