sundog005 Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Yeah Hi, i've had the freeze crash and c++ error crash on and off for days now i guess its all the mods i've installed, believe me i've tried everything to fix it, BOSS, Wyre Bash, everything. Some days its running solid others its crashing every 30-40 mins my PC is old and its probably a memory issue tbh...i'm upgrading soon so i can live with it for now.The most annoying crash i've found so far is the freeze crash where Skyrim won 't let you get back to Desktop to end task so you have to reset, which isn't healthy for you Hard-Drive at all in fact i've had to system restore once because of it...So anyway if it happens to you try this. *Press the Windows Key once - Press the Up Arrow once (not the numberpad up arrow) - Press Enter once - Press S* PC goes to Standby and comes back on 2 mins later when you click the mouse or move it, in the desktop and you can safely close Skyrim. This is a fix for XP, yes some of us still use it atleast until Christmas :p....but i imagine you can do similar on all the later windows versions have a look at your start menu and see what the keyboard shortcuts are.
