eyeteeh Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 is it possible to make NPCs target specific body parts? for instance, could you make the Crimson Dragoon snipers in Anchorage always try for headshots, or make Regulators try to disarm you? OFC, you wouldn't want the same effect on the player, since the flaw of foes with exploding heads after toe-shots becomes more glaring... In other words, you want to add the effect, remove the projectile or make it invisible, and script the gun so it switches for a normal variant if it ever enters the player's inventory. You also want to reduce the dismemberment chance to 0.And that's just a single gun... Did i mention the fun that to do this fully, you'd need to make a clone of every weapon usable by npcs in the game?, and that it isn't compatible with other weapons added by mods?. and that adding compatibility with, say, fook or wmk means adding about 200-500 weapons each?. Lovely. In other words... better find another workaround. ...... Actually.... if any of ye figures out to reliably get the player's head's coordinates, and a way to make an npc in such a way that bullets go through it (while still being convincing enough for the ai to shoot at it).. i *think* i can make it possible.
