eyeteeh Posted May 3, 2009 Author Share Posted May 3, 2009 well, i'm really thinking it'd just be for snipers. so just two guns--the sniper rifle, and the reservist's rifle. i guess i'd still have to make every NPC in the game who uses a sniper rifle use the headshot version, though, and as you said, make it switch to the regular version on loot. for head coordinates, couldn't you just cheat and use (center mass coords + a few points on the y coord)? that should work for humanoids, at least, though your sniper NPC would be hitting the chest or upper throat of super mutants and deathclaws. and he'd either be hitting radscorps in the tail or missing completely. i guess you could query the target for its type, and then do a specific (center mass + y) for each type. TGBlank Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 I was thinking strictly against the player. No sense in adding it in general me thinks. Problem is that the player can crouch. So... gimme an actor that bullets pass through him (but foes still aggro it), and a method to track the player's head, and i'll give you your sniper foes.
