RoNin1971
For my new cassette tape model I'm not sure what label to use (if any) I'm personally inclined to go for option B (the small label) But what do you guys prefer to see?
StormWolf01
I voted C.While my own personal preference, I think that the smaller label seems more.... personalized, since that's what we had on a lot of old mash tapes, I really like that. Much more nostalgic. But for gameplay... seeing these things in indoors locations, and darkened rooms and such, as well as being able to tell what's what in a holotape rack, I think the larger sticker would probly work out better. RoNin1971
What's the darkest place you can think of? (edit: in the game obviously  ) edit:I guess its the Nuka Galaxy ride. No problem there. It only becomes easier to find them, the darker it is.Although in broad daylight these will shine straight into your attention sphere, so no worries. It sticks out everywhere. RoNin1971
Alright, option B it is. (C will be available too, as alternative texture. You'll need it for knowing where to paint custom labels. (which is a separate texture now.)Different colors for the cassette can be created easily without touching the texture. As it gets its color, shine & transparency from the bgem, not the texture. You can get some awesome results, but its difficult to get there, as neither nifskope or CK will always render it the same way as the game does. So, I present you my Holo-CassetteTape Type-II ;) Which I will upload shortly. Edited September 10, 2022 by RoNin1971
RoNin1971
I just uploaded the new Type-II version to the mod, so any votes coming in now ... too late :PThe file does contain a set for the old style label, which does fit better with the retro style of the game, as the Type-II (ironically) looks pretty modern :)...but it blocks most of the 'inner parts' from view. Your all welcome to create your own colors & labels anyway.

CONGRATULATIONS!Talking about 'running with it', I have this idea, which I would like somebody to run off with:Mod the game so that each game has its own pip-boy animation ( = nif with correct model and all, I could provide those) and pauses with an old fashioned C64 look a like 'loading' screen (on the pipboy) for a few seconds while playing: https://freesound.org/people/jobro/sounds/38481/   edit: much better ;) Edited September 10, 2022 by RoNin1971
