screeched
So when i start up my game (having marked a mod in the data files located in the fallout 3 launcher) the screen goes black then closes because "fallout_3 has encountered a problem". When i have no mods marked, it runs clean without the crash. I am running windows vista if that matters. Any help would be much appreciated. TGBlank
Your load order is wrong.Get FOMM.
screeched
so should i delete all the mods i have had in the data folder so far?
ikermen
No, as TGBlank says, use FOMM.You need not delete anything.
screeched
not sure what you mean, i use the fallout mod manager and the same thing happens when i click launch fallout.
TGBlank
It means your mods are either in a bad order, or you're missing an esm file for a mod.
screeched
could you clarify what your talking about when you say "order", sorry i know basic modding and thats about it.
TGBlank
*sigh* You open fomm, you see the list.. you can drag stuff up and down to arrange the order.Mods can have "masters" (fomm tells you the masters on the box below the load order). All masters must be loaded before the mod, or the game WILL crash on startup.
screeched
ok i see what the problem is. I need the master operation anchorage. however i don't see it on the list, i remember a window that i dismissed when the mod manager started asking of i wanted to move operation anchorage to the data folder. any idea how to get this message again or do it manually? Mr MMMM
You can re-download it if you can't find it, but otherwise just find where you put it last time and move to C:\program files\fallout 3\data
