SteelRat1962
Yes you can change the offsets, and I tried fiddling with that, but saw no change whatsoever. And the swaps I looked at all have UV offsets of zero. So that means, as mentioned above, the UV mapping of the objects is different.
niston
To edit UV in Nifskope: Right click the Trishape in question. Texture->Edit UV.It doesn't take materials into account and only works if there is a texture set with at least diffuse defined (it won't show the texture otherwise, which kind of defeats the purpose). And the editor is very, extremely, totally basic. greekrage
Editing the UV map is a toy once you do it a couple of times...In cases like posters and portraits etc its very easy because youre dealing with easy shapes...When doing stuff that is complex like a kitchen counter for example its a bit of a headache...especially when one texture map is used by several different nifs..Personally i make new material files using GIMP to do the edits to textures or introduce a custom texture ( also make the normal map in gimp )......and then rebuild the material file with new textures and rename it...and use that... here ...how to edit the uv map position
pepperman35
While you can edit the UV map in nifskope, you need to exercise a bit of caution as it is quite easy to distort the image.
SteelRat1962
Sorry, late to reply, but just getting back into this. I don't see the option "Right click the Trishape in question. Texture->Edit UV." in the version of Nifskope I'm using (2.0.0 Prealpha 4) EDIT: Never mind. Apparently I didn't have the right version. I needed 2.0 Dev
