ED-E is stuck in its idle animation

Hi there.

So for a while now, ED-E is stuck in its idle animation. It's just... there, hovering motionless. It can follow me, fight and turn fine though, but it just doesn't "move", you know ? I haven't the slightest idea of what's causing it.

I have a few mods that impact animations, but none that even remotely concern ED-E.

Please help me ? :<

EDIT: I found another player that had the same problem with this lil' eyebot, but never got any answers. I hope I will get some...

Yes, but as I recall it is only for that session. (google to check this) So work around should be fix ed-e. Exit the game, restart the game.

Not completely sure and can't be bothered to check since I play the game for my own enjoyment not steam's.

Well nevermind, I figured it out. Kind of.

So ED-E is basically my personal sherpa, and I overload it with heavy and valuable stuff like deathclaw eggs. So when I returned to goodsprings and sell all my junk, it seems that the lightened load restarted its hovering animation. At least that's the only connection I could make, I didn't notice it hovering until after I made the sell, so it could be fixed by traveling to Goodsprings, entering Trudy's saloon and/or Chet's store, shooting a random bottle or waiting three hours for all i know. That's all I did in Goodsprings anyway.

So yeah, thanks anyway ! :>

EDIT : Actually, scratch the "lighten ED-E's load to fix its animation" part : It's only after I lightened MY load that it got fixed, it's still got the heavy stuff on it. It's a head-scratcher for sure.
