Ranger Clint - An advanced Ghoul companion mod

What I'm working on is the first advanced top notch Stand-Alone Ghoul companion ever made for fallout new vegas. We have Willow, Niner, and Russel to name a few of the greats, but we need a ghoul because no one has ever done that before and the nexus community deserves one, that's why I've dedicated my time to work on this project. The ghoul's name is Clint, his features include:

• Playing caravan
• The ability to use on command melee weapons, ranged weapons, explosives, and pistols
• Ask him how his day is going (depending on health status)
• Telling jokes
• Asking About his life
• The ability to trade & wait
• The ability to be fired to the Lucky 38, your Novac motel room, or a custom location
• The ability to play a song on his guitar (only if you ask him to)
• JIP CC&C support
• Playing Rock paper scissors
• Commenting on world locations
• A lore friendly nostalgic backstory
• and more!

 

For his quests, he has 3 main quests and over 10 side quests.

BIG NEWS (9-13-2014):

 

The Clint Early Access esp is ready for testing, this was the largest merge I've ever made so far it seems to function okay, however, some assets are missing but they are all very small an unimportant for testing purposes. If you wish to be one of 15 play testers send me a PM and I'll send you the mod.

(Note: Clint Early Access is for testing purposes only and will not be put on the New Vegas nexus until the mod is finished.)

 

I'd also like to announce that Ranger Clint has reached the Beta Stage, specifically Beta 1.0 out of 9.0.

 

The new target release date is: December 7th, 2014 (but may change due to voice acting)

Clint's Backstory:

 

Here is most of Clints 85 years of life jam packed into 3 paragraphs, this might be considered a spoiler, but I don't think it is. Either way, enjoy learning all about Clint's past.

Clint was born in 2196 as a human male, his father was an escaped vault dweller from an unknown vault, his mom was some sort of doctor (according to Clint). When Clint was 5 and a half years old, his house was ransacked by raiders while Clint was playing with his toys outside. After little Clint heard gunshots, he ran and ran as fast as he could. After the raiders were finished slaughtering his parents one of them saw the little boy running in the distance and chased him down. Clint was able to hide in an irradiated pond almost 3 and a half miles away from his house. The raiders never found Clint, but unfortunately for Clint, he stayed in the water for too long and his skin started falling off, his fate was sealed.

Long story short, Clint became a ghoul at age 5, and barely survived on his own for the next 2 years. When Clint turned 7, he discovered this community of ghouls 30 miles west of new reno. The ghouls welcome him with open arms and he would live there until the age 27. While Clint Lived there he befriended another ghoul not much older than himself, his name was marty. Oddly enough they both got their names from some of the music or old movie they city had on holodisks. One day his town was attacked by raiders and he was the only survivor.

A few months After the attack Clint decided to join the rangers and stood with them even when they merged with the NCR. Clint stayed in the NCR until he meet a man, who hated ghouls with a passion. After 6 months Clint could not take the ridicule, the spitting, the disobeying of orders and the degeneration this man caused anymore. It was after the first battle of hoover dam when Clint finally left the NCR.

I felt you guys and gals might want to know his backstory...

What do you guys think of being able to share your accomplishments with clint (Example: I got shot in the head and lived, I killed the alpha male deathclaw, I know what happens when you have all 50 star bottle caps, etc.), please share your opinions...

The purpose of this forum is to get suggestions and ideas and see what people think about Clint, i don't see what the big deal is, someguy2000 does this. This is really just a developer blog for me to post updates and screen shots.

Someguy2000 is Someguy2000. Use your own judgement on what features would be best, complete it, release it and then gauge people's reactions and suggestions.
