  1. 1. What do you think of Ranger Clint?

    • He's sounds super cool, I can't wait for him!
    • He sounds interesting, but I need more details.
    • Lame...

    • Stupid, he should be a normal human.

  2. 2. Some features will be cut from the mod, which do you think should stay (if any)?

    • Hireable mercenaries in the ghoul town
    • Stand-Alone patches to reduce load order size
    • An adoption Clinic for you and Clint after the 4th quest (that's the romance quest)
    • Clint gets mad at you for destroying Lukesville (if you do), and leaves you (Unless under special circumstances).
  3. 3. What more would you like to know about the mod?

    • Clint's Personality
    • All of the questlines
      0
    • All of the features
      0
    • The ghoul town Lukesville
      0
    • The NPCs

    • Nothing, I want it all to be a surprise!

UPDATE:

Sorry, I meant to post this update yesterday, but I was too busy to upload it. Here's what's new!

  • Clint's introduction quest that leads to the third quest is complete, it just needs a cut scene and a few bonus options that will be added in later
  • Fixed Clint's wait distance
  • Disabled a grave that was initially enabled for Clint (you'll be able to bury and have a funeral for Clint, if he dies)
  • Removed some invisible walls and out of place objects in Lukesville and inconvenient doors
  • Fixed NPC names and NPC voice types
  • Fixed a quest related NPC and made sure that the introduction quest wasn't broken (he was really broken)
  • Found some more of the missing meshes
  • Made a chart that tells me exactly what needs to be done, how soon, and what has been done.

I hope to start voice acting some of the mod and wrapping up the main quest line within the month and do a bunch of side quests as fast as I can in September. Also, somehow has offered me their assistance, hopefully development should speed right along. Expect more updates soon, and this time I mean it!

I am so disappointed in myself... and I will not let this mod die. I just... I got too ambitious. Not necessarily for the scale of the mod, but with life. I wanted to help a bunch of mod authors with nav meshing, and working on little projects. I wanted to make YouTube videos and have this project done a long time ago. But something hit me recently, I'm going to finish this mod. I made a promise to myself that I would, and I don't want to let you people down, because the nexus has done so much to make life better... it's kinda strange, but true never the less.

I have worked on Clint so little this year, it's not even funny (as if that expression ever made any sense). But no more, I WILL FINISH HIM. But my one fear is that when Fallout 4 comes out, not many will actually play him, but I told myself that doesn't matter, what matter is that you do what you wanted to do: make a quality Ghoul Companion and make someone happy. If I can do that, I have the motivation to finish Clint.

Here are some of my goals:

  • Post updates weekly: this'll will encourage me to naturally work harder on Clint and thus get more done.
  • To get Clint done before the year is out: Another ambitious end time, but I started voice acting today and I'm really just trying to hammer out this mod.
  • To really more developer blogs and improve their quality
  • To get more involved with everyone.

I don't think being doing the beta testing anymore, as that just slowed development down, however I will test the mod before it's released on multiple systems.

If ANYONE would like to either voice act or help me script quests, please message me (and if you're a voice actor, show me a demo reel of your work).

Clint is not dead, and I won't let him die, he will be released, just don't expect the TWW edition or the loads of side companions I had planned (for some weird reason).

And last, I'd like to say thank you, to all who have been there with me along the way, and I can't wait to give you what will hopefully be the best companion mod you have ever seen.

UPDATE:

So here's what's new for today (Note, this'll be a relatively small update):

  • Voiced around 30 lines of dialogue for Clint, to get a good feel of how he might sound and if my voice really suits this character.
  • Organized a list of all the characters and buildings and began to flesh each character out.
  • Gathered modders' resources to add to Clint.
  • Created and designed several new citizens for Lukesville.
  • Improved the lighting in several building across the city.
  • Renamed various buildings and characters because their original names either sucked or didn't work as well.

I'll upload a clip of Clint talking either tonight or tomorrow morning. Depends on YouTube upload speeds, let me know what you think of his voice. As always, feedback is much appreciated.

Quick Update: I've been able to get more and more work done on Clint but high school has kept me busy. Luckily, some time opened up and I'll be able to get a lot more done. And as a heads up for everyone, I will continue to work on Clint and release Clint after Fallout 4.
