sillyoo
Ok so basically I'm having trouble with some mods. Actually it's all mods that put a new texture or weapon or armor into the game. As you may have guessed from the title, all these new meshes and textures come up as red squares with a white !. Personally I think that this has something to do with where I put the mesh and texture files. So if someone knows of a video on how to get these to work in the gae please tell me. And if you can download mods and get their meshes and textures working just tell me where you put everything and what you did please.
NaboeN
Yup, the meshes are placed wrong. That's when the famous box with the ! shows
Smosh
They would normally go into your Fallout3/Data file. Then use a program like ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated so that the game knows where to find the new textures.
rain_man
I am getting this too. So far logging out and re-do the archive invaliditation and restarting the game works.

TGBlank
Move your .bsas to your fallout/data folders. If using fake patch, edit the ini to add the bsas to the load list.
UncleRoe
Lets say i am using a fake patch..not that i am *cough*.. but say i was.. how would i go about editing the ini to add the Bsa files?
TGBlank
there's a fallout.ini, and there's a line that says sfiles sumthinsumthin = (bunch of .bsa files). You need to add the pitt's bsas there, as well as anchorage's. Make sure the line is under 255 characters, if it is not, then you need to rename your bsas to make their names shorter.
UncleRoe
i found one area towards the end of the ini with bsas in it. TGBlank
a few lines later, there should be one huge line with several bsas listed on it.
