Game crashes to desk top any time I save or load

This started last night at first it was only when I hit save it would CTD but could be fixed by loading the same save a few times then I could save and load with out crash

 

now I can turn on the game load up any save file and play fine until I go to load or save

 

the instant i load or save the game crashes to desktop this happens no matter what file I load

 

I have tried rest my controls gots ride of FDshow and even delete my .ini files witch reset every thing to default but still no go

 

Any one know how to fix this?

I use FOSE I surfed to the page and found the 1.1 beta 6 to help with Patch 1.5. Works for me.

 

I checked in on Timeslips bunch at this link FOMM too. Fallout Mod Manager has been upgraded a bit too. I like the new switch functions it has.

 

I gather a number of modders are using FOSE with their GECK Construction Kit so I would not be surprised if out of the many Mods I have in use there are a couple mods the creators built and just forgot to mention that FOSE is required to play their .esp Plugin or .esm Master file.

 

I use FOSE when I am not playing the DLC/s from Microsoft for Gamers "LIVE" just to be on the safe side.

i am experiencing the sam e problem too

the game begins to crash every time after i get outside the power station in old olney -_-'

ive also got the same problem. it started when i got the 1.5 patch. i updated to the compatible fose but still wont work. i can load a save but cannot save it at all. i turned off all the auto saves and i can play fine but just no saving...help

I have also had this problem, I uninstalled all mods and FOMM and FOSE and am upgrading all, I'll let you know here if this fixes my issuses, I will also be starting a new persona. This sucks as i have alot of history in my old save files, but if it resolves the issues, then so be it =]

Have you upgraded to the official patch 1.5? Because 1.5 has a serious problem with mods (causes crashes exactly as you described). I have a similar problem. I'll try to help if I can fix it.

I have also had this problem, I uninstalled all mods and FOMM and FOSE and am upgrading all, I'll let you know here if this fixes my issuses, I will also be starting a new persona. This sucks as i have alot of history in my old save files, but if it resolves the issues, then so be it =]

 

It solved my issues ^^ . But i didnt' uninstall my mods. I have only deactived them. After playing awhile i activated them again and it works fine for me. The only thing that pisses me off is that i lost several moded items -_-'

Heres what I did step by step: Uninstalled game, del'd beth folder and my games folder. Installed FO3, patched 1.5, installed newest FOMM and FOSE beta, I started with one mod at a time and tested fast travelling and quick saving in game as well as save and exit, reload

So far no crashes with these mods:

SSR Small silencer sniper rifle

JHB House robots can repair

no repair needed v2

Alexscorpions Sinper gear

SR-25 Semi auto 25 (although i had to install the arkansas mod only first, then the second vendor after, I havent been to second vendor yet at rileys)

Merc Armour Pack

MaleFace V1 6037

CALIBR-3447

Thats all for now, im planning on trying the Type V body replacer next and textures.

I load through FOMM btw, havent tried on LIVE
