Dealey
Hello :smile:Something odd is happening right now and I have no idea why... The problem is that whenever I try to install a mod manually from a file the manager says it can't be added in the download manager, with the status set to incomplete.... Needless to say, installing a mod by downloading it via the mod manager results in an error, but from what I've seen this is a common thing so I'm not even going to try and fix that. (Also, the mod I'm trying to install is NMC's texture pack) I actually don't have any mods installed, this is the first one I'm trying right now. Re-downloaded the file just in case it was corrupted, but the problem still persists. Also checked if there are any cached files in the nexus directory, nothing. I even ran nexus as an administrator and double-checked if it's set to the proper encryption in the tools! Any help would be appreciated... Either I'm doing something really stupid or it's a problem with the program (tried reinstalling it as well). bjornl
re-install NMM as it seems to not be working.Check your default load order by starting it.note: NMM and FOMM only work with the steam version of the game as all other versions are pirated. Guntheria
Hello,I have some troubles with the mods, too. I never used mods so I´m quite unexperienced and maybe I´m just stupid, but:I have the steam version and so I can´t realy "find" the game. That means I use Win7 and NV is in the Games folder of Windows. At least if I use search in order to find it. When checking the folder there is nothing. I guess that comes with steam. So, where do i put the mods? I watched an tutorial how to use Fomm from a guy called AlChestBreach (Youtube) but I need the actual folders for this. And so I came here to try out the Manager version of the mod, but it doesn´t download. So...what´s goin´on? Thanks for help

So...what´s goin´on? Thanks for help Hi Guntheria, The game is in different locations depending on two things.1. Is your PC 32bit or 64bit2. What disk did you install steam on? If your PC is 64bit (most of them are these days) and you installed in the default location your game is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas If you do not have a lot of STEAM games installed AND you have a nice sized D disk, I suggest you uninstall steam from your C disk and install it to your D disk. As surprising as this might sound, it will make your game a tiny tiny bit faster (by a trivial amount) and it will also give you plenty space for MODs and backups and all sorts of stuff. I recommend you use Nexus Mod Manager over FOMM. It will solve your can't find the game folder issue since it will auto detect where your game is installed. It also supports a reasonable number of other games as well. You can download it from:http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager//?
