mrspongeworthy
OK, I have a couple specific items I would like to create using the additem console command. I'll use the Rail Spike as an example: Because I'm running on Very Hard and using a mod which requires 6X the experience to level-up, I've completely denuded the wasteland of Rail Spikes. I don't generally like using mods that add big ammo caches etc, as I'm one of those people trying to make the game much MUCH harder, not easier. So I thought I would just add Rail Spikes when needed. I'm on Windows XP, I go to console, and I type: player.additem 0001D44F 100 And I get a script error. I've looked all over the place, and as far as I can tell I have the syntax correct, but I can't get ANY item to spawn, period. I just get a script error every single time. My guess is that I'm making some stupid syntax error and just being dense. Please help!
jaysus
the command is absolutely correct... what does the script error say? could be that the item code is wrong dunno...
aiglos357
The item code for Railway spikes is 00029384 (you don't have to type the leading zeros).
overload1977
player.additem 29384 1000 will keep you going ^_^
mrspongeworthy
Thanks guys, this was a huge help. Once I realized that I was in fact doing things correctly (thanks again!), I realized the problem must be elsewhere. Somehow I seem to have gotten ahold of a list of items in which the item codes were all incorrect. I don't know what's up with that, it seems very strange to me. But at any rate, once I found a different list of item codes everything was fine.
