Only Two Deadly Reflex Questions

1. Anyone know if the anticipated update to Deadly Reflex 5.0 is actually going to happen? :whistling:

2. Anyone have any idea what OBSE (or other) scripting functions DR 5.0 has that would make casting non-hostile spells on NPC's considered an assault? :verymad:

I've gotten repeatedly arrested for casting "Set Essential Actors Plus" and the old "Companion Share & Recruit spells," and of course...the most irritating.....Sexlivion. :wallbash:

I'm figuring it has something to do with the "sneak attack" function where you are noticed and the NPC avoids the attack....but still considers themselves "assaulted."

It may be checking on PC movement toward the NPC, like in a touch spell.....not really sure.

Haven't cracked the ESM/ESP open to look at it, cause I'm sure I'd be very far out of my depth.

ROFL! Now THAT's funny!

The only "fix" I've found so far is to use the console to temporarily change the NPC's aggression and responsibility to zero, so they don't report you and don't mind being assaulted.

Setting ignore friendly hits only works for the first 3 spells cast out of combat, so....eventually they are not going to be happy about you "assualting" them repeatedly with non-hostile spells.

Lol, yeah I get that heaps too! NPC allies I am healing are almost sure to shield bash or punch me. Jauffre even karate kicked me across the room the other day.

LMAO I gave you kudos that was so funny.
