Davloxley
The dragon priests and their masks are epic, but sadly in order to use all of their sweet masks you have to look like a crazy person! What about a mod that lets you wear the mask hanging from your belt or waist like a trophy, and still get it's effect? It would be a bit like the bandolier mods that add little pouches to different locations on your body, but instead it would be the magical mask of that dragon priest you owned hanging off your belt and empowering you. It would certainly match a much broader range of gear, wouldn't hinder character customization as much, and it would be a cool flavorful piece of gear for all manner of dragonborns. Cus you didn't kill Miraak just so you could start dressing up as him. It could even still be registered to your helmet slot for balance so you couldn't double up on headgear, if that is something that would be nitpickable. And the mod could expand to include other headgear as well, such as the Aetherial Crown or the Masque of Clavicus Vile Dragon priest masks, gotta catch em all! Davloxley
Good idea! I'll hit him up and see what he thinks :-)
Davloxley
Talked to dragten, he liked the idea! but said he wasn't playing or modding skyrim at the moment or likely for a while. I had another idea I ran by him as well to go with this one, little belt worn totems that mirror the bonuses of the divines amulets. Seems like all of that together could make a pretty decent mod! Like a "Religious symbols and items of power" mod. I suppose you could expand it with some Daedric totems as well.. Wear all the things on your belt! Deleted1308005User
This seems like nice idea. I'd prefer "carrying" the masks, after all it'd be weird that suddenly the mask perfectly fits your elf/beast face.
batmanna
Had the same idea. Doind this right now and soon will upload in a future armors and weapons mod. Great idea Edited January 29, 2014 by batmanna
spybreak308
batmanna, I recently downloaded your warmonger armory, huge fan. Will you be updating the Dragon priest masks to belts for the dragonborn add-on?
ZacLee
I'm thinking something like wearing them on your shoulder. Like how the AESIR armor has those kind of options. Maybe after you collect the mask, you can use it as an ingredient with some leather strips or somethiing to change it into the belt version. ethernalhero
Batmanna has released the 1.2 update for the Warmonger Armory, which includes left and right belt fastened masks, for vanilla and the Dragonborn DLC. And don't think, oh no, I don't want an armor pack, just the belts! Don't worry, if you like Skyrim, you'll like the Warmonger Armory ;) - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50459
