@Uberjumper: I downloaded the modhelper, unzipped it, but cannot seem to execute it. When I try there is a message along the lines of "either written wrong or could not be found" (translated from german...). When I enter "dir", I can´t find the .exe. I also checked in winexplorer, it seems to be missing.

 

Any suggestions?

 

Edit: I do find an XCOMModHelper without suffix. Windows says its type is "Microsoft Visual Studio Solution". Is that supposed to be there?

Hi there. Go to the "Releases" link above on github :)

All you need is the latest version there, the configs are included.

Go there, click the green button "Release031.7zip" the other ones are for source code which isn't what you want.

I'm using the new version and I still get that.

 

if there is a manual way of activating the exe via cmd, then I am unfamiliar with it.

Your not using the newest version, because:

^^^ That line is from the older version.

The odds are your error is the fact the executable is already patched.
